An information processing device includes a first wireless communicator that establishes a short-range wireless communication with a first image forming device in a local network and a second wireless communicator that establishes a wireless communication with a wireless communicator device connected to the local network, comprising a hardware processor that: enables the first wireless communicator to establish the short-range wireless communication with the first image forming device, thereby obtaining an IP address of the first image forming device in the local network; and enables the second wireless communicator to send a search command for searching for a second image forming device in the local network to the local network using unicast transmission via the wireless communicator device based on the IP address of the first image forming device.
Abstract:
A communication apparatus capable of determining whether to permit a login to an image forming apparatus by a carrying user of a portable terminal acquires an authentication result of a terminal authentication performed on the basis of terminal authentication information stored in the portable terminal and authorized terminal authentication information and receives, from the portable terminal, an authentication result of a biometric authentication which is performed in the portable terminal on the basis of biometric authentication information acquired from the carrying user of the portable terminal and biometric authentication information of an authorized user of the portable terminal. The communication apparatus permits the login to the image forming apparatus by the carrying user on the condition that the terminal authentication is successful and the authentication result indicating that the biometric authentication is successful is received from the portable terminal.

A portable terminal apparatus includes: a two-dimensional code obtaining portion that obtains a two-dimensional code indicating address information; an address information judgment portion that analyzes the two-dimensional code and judges whether or not the two-dimensional code includes an IP address; an access portion that accesses an image processing apparatus residing at the IP address upon the two-dimensional code being judged as including the IP address; an MIB information obtaining portion that obtains MIB information from the image processing apparatus; and a registration portion that judges on the basis of the MIB information whether or not the image processing apparatus can be operated from the portable terminal apparatus by an application being activated, the application being installed on the portable terminal apparatus, and registers information for use of the image processing apparatus upon the image processing apparatus being judged as being able to be operated from the portable terminal apparatus.

A network system is provided which includes an image forming apparatus having a plurality of addresses for communication; and a terminal used to operate the image forming apparatus from a remote location. The image forming apparatus includes a generating portion configured to generate a code indicating the addresses and priority orders of the addresses, and an output portion configured to output the code generated. The terminal includes a reader configured to obtain the code outputted, and a transmission processing portion configured to perform transmission processing for sending data to the image forming apparatus by using, based on the code obtained, the addresses in order from an address which is given the priority order higher than any other of the priority orders.
