    Abstract: Disclosed are a method and apparatus for connecting a terminal and a base station in a multi-hop network. A method of a terminal may comprise: receiving cell selection and reselection criteria information broadcast from a base station; determining candidate base stations among all base stations capable of communicating with the terminal based on the cell selection and reselection criteria information; selecting one connection scheme from a lightening backhaul load (LBL) scheme or a maximum reference signal received power (RSRP) scheme based on a tolerable gap, which is a parameter for determining the candidate base station; selecting one candidate base station from among the candidate base stations as a target base station based on the one connection scheme; and connecting to the target base station.

    Abstract: A reception terminal receives information indicating whether a service flow requires in-order delivery and a maximum time during which data not yet received is to wait in a case in which in-order delivery is required, from a transmission terminal, restores service data units (SDUs) from protocol data units (PDUs) received from the transmission terminal with respect to the corresponding service flow, and transmits the restored SDUs to a higher layer according to sequence numbers of the received PDUs in order.

    Abstract: A D2D (Device-to-Device) communication method is provided which enables a first terminal of a first group to directly communicate with other terminals of the first group without relay of a base station. The first terminal receives first data from a second terminal. The first terminal determines whether the first data is destined for the first group by using a group identifier of the first data. When the first data is destined for the first group, the first terminal identifies at least one first RLC entity, among multiple RLC (Radio Link Control) entities, that corresponds to the second terminal by using the source terminal identifier of the first data.

    Abstract: Methods for preventing address collisions in device-to-device (D2D) communications are disclosed. An operation method of a first terminal in a wireless communication network may comprise configuring an internet protocol (IP) address of the first terminal used for D2D communications; generating an announcement frame based on an address resolution protocol (ARP) including the IP address; and transmitting the announcement frame. Thus, a problem of collisions between IP addresses in D2D communications can be resolved.
