Abstract: Various embodiments comprise systems, methods, and apparatus for enabling UE attached to a mobile network via a mid-band CBSD node to continue transmitting upload data to the mid-band CBSD node even in the event of a loss of Physical Downlink Control Channels (PDCCH) coverage of the CBSD node resulting in a failure of the UE to receive uplink grant schedule updates. Various embodiments contemplate that the UE responsively attaches to a low-band node which, based on physical cell ID (PCI) of the CBSD node, retrieves updated uplink grant schedules from the CBSD node via a backhaul network and provides the uplink grant schedules to the UE.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for increasing channel diversity in a MIMO system, e.g. a massive MIMO system, are described. Some selected sounding reference signal values are applied to control base station transmission for antennas, e.g., randomly or semi-randomly selected antennas, to which they do not actually correspond. The wireless terminal perceives this change as a change in channel conditions, which is subsequently reported in channel status information (CSI) to the base station. This results in increased channel diversity, which is beneficial to the base station scheduler.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for enhancing performance of a wireline communication network backhaul for a wireless node. In one embodiment, the node comprises a small-cell or other wireless base station that is backhauled by a DOCSIS system within a managed HFC network, and the methods and apparatus enable enhanced communication between the small cell/base station and the backhaul network so as to support adaptation by the wireline network for frequencies used by the node so as to mitigate interference or other issues. In one implementation, enhanced cable modem (CM), cable modem termination system (CMTS) and node devices coordinate to inform the CMTS of use of potentially interfering frequencies by the base station so that the CMTS can monitor, and reconfigure as necessary, any affected wireline RF channels.

In one embodiment, a method of managing a WLAN using an access point (AP) coordination system. The AP coordination system accepts client device requests through their associated APs and coordinates one or more APs within the WLAN to fulfill the client requests, without forcing the client devices to associate with different APs. Abstract: Apparatus and methods for multi-mode operation of a wireless-enabled device, including for extending the range of the wireless signal in a wireless network. In one embodiment, a multi-mode Consumer Premises Equipment (CPE) is provided utilizing “quasi-licensed” CBRS (Citizen Broadband Radio Service) wireless spectrum. In one variant, the apparatus and methods provide a solution to use a CPE in a Wi-Fi extender mode to extend Wi-Fi signal from a router. In another variant, a solution is provided to use a CPE in an LTE repeater mode to extend the LTE signal from an LTE eNB/gNB. Abstract: Millimeter wave access system and method for device-to-device communications (D2D) are described. A method includes registering, by one or more Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) devices (CBSDs) with a millimeter wave spectrum access system (MAS), establishing, by mobile devices, connections with a CBSD, receiving D2D communication mode capability from the mobile devices, receiving millimeter wave spectrum allocation requests for D2D communication from a number of the plurality of mobile devices, determining, by the MAS, millimeter wave spectrum allocation for the requests, sending, by the MAS and the CBSD, appropriate millimeter wave spectrum allocations to each of requesting mobile device and enabling D2D communication mode, establishing D2D communication links with other mobile devices to exchange data, monitoring idle time percentage on the D2D communication links, informing when D2D communication is not needed based on the idle time percentage, and releasing allocated millimeter wave spectrum when D2D communication is not needed.

Abstract: The presentation invention relates to methods and apparatus for coordinating the buffering and transmission of data between a Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS) and a wireless base station. Abstract: In certain embodiments, a (e.g., 5G) wireless network has a (e.g., CBSD) base station and any suitable number of instances of user equipment (UE). For each group of one or more UEs, one of the UEs is designated as a primary UE that stores UE context information for the other (secondary) UEs in the UE group. To connect to a secondary UE, the base station can retrieve the UE context information from the secondary UE's associated primary UE without having to retrieve the secondary UE's context information from the core network, thereby reducing backbone bandwidth usage and delays in connecting the secondary UE, especially when many secondary UE request connections within a short time interval.
