Abstract: A panel with a virtual curved display surface and a display device are provided. The virtual curved display panel includes a display panel and a grating. The grating is disposed at a light-exiting side of the display panel, and includes a plurality of light-transmitting regions and a plurality of light-shielding regions spaced apart from each other. Respective widths of the plurality of light-shielding regions of the grating are gradually decreased as respective distances from the plurality of light-shielding regions to a symmetry axis of the display panel are increased, and respective widths of the plurality of light-transmitting regions are gradually increased as respective distances from the plurality of light-transmitting regions to the symmetry axis of the display panel are increased.

Abstract: A display device and a display method thereof are provided. The display device includes: a first base substrate (10) and a second base substrate (20) which are arranged oppositely and a liquid crystal layer (30) between the first base substrate (10) and the second base substrate (20), the display device further includes: a waveguide grating (40) between the liquid crystal layer (30) and the first base substrate (10), the waveguide grating (40) including a waveguide layer (401) and a grating layer (402) on one side of the waveguide layer (401) facing the liquid crystal layer (30), and the grating layer (402) being in contact with the liquid crystal layer (30); and a collimation light source (50) on a lateral surface of the waveguide layer (401), light emitted by the collimation light source (50) being coupled into the waveguide layer (401) and output from the grating layer (402). The display device can regulate an amount of the light output from the waveguide grating by controlling changes of the refractive index of the liquid crystal layer so as to implement gray scale display.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a display device and a manufacturing method thereof, in the field of display technology. The display device can comprise: a display panel and a light ray control component disposed on a light emergent side of the display panel, wherein the light ray control component comprises a plurality of zone plates; each sub-pixel region on the display panel corresponds to one of the zone plates, and the zone plate corresponding to any sub-pixel region is used to control a direction of light rays emitted from the any sub-pixel region. In the present disclosure, the light ray control component comprising a plurality of zone plates is disposed on the light emergent side of the display panel, and each sub-pixel region of the display panel corresponds to one zone plate. Therefore, the problem in the related art that the light rays emergent from the light emergent side of the display panel are divergent light, and a direction of the light rays is hard to control is solved. The effect of controlling the direction of the light rays emergent from the light emergent side of the display panel by the light ray control component is achieved.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a display device in the field of display. The display device comprises a plurality of sub-pixel areas, each of which corresponds to one color, wherein the display device comprises a reflecting interface, a photon conversion layer, and a light filter layer arranged sequentially along a display light emergent direction; in the sub-pixel area corresponding to a target color: the light filter layer is structured to transmit light within a first wavelength range in the display light emergent direction and reflect the light within a second wavelength range, wherein the first wavelength range refers to the wavelength range corresponding to the target color, and the second wavelength range includes a visible light waveband excluding the first wavelength range; the reflecting interface is structured to reflect the light from the light filter layer; and the photon conversion layer is structured to convert the transmitted light within a third wavelength range to the light within the first wavelength range, the third wavelength range is a preset wavelength range beyond the first wavelength range and the second wavelength range includes the third wavelength range. The present disclosure can improve the color conversion efficiency of the display device.

Abstract: A liquid crystal cell and method for fabricating the same, a liquid crystal display panel, and a display device are disclosed. The liquid crystal cell comprises an active area and a dummy area, and comprises a first and second substrate which are arranged oppositely and separated by spacers, and liquid crystal arranged between the first and second substrate. The liquid crystal cell further comprises a volume variation compensating component which is arranged in the active area, and the volume variation compensating component comprises a material with a thermal expansion coefficient opposite to that of the liquid crystal, so as to compensate variation in the volume of liquid crystal when temperature varies. Not only defects of gravity mura at high temperature and bubbles at low temperature are eliminated to spread LC Margin, but also the scope of application environment for the liquid crystal display panel is expanded.
