    摘要: This invention aims to provide a Mobile Communications Terminal (MCT) equipped with a GPS function that automatically transmits the information on the current position of the MCT after the power of the MCT is turned off. The MCT comprises a GPS Receiver Unit 105 for receiving signal data from a GPS satellite, a Position Determining Unit 107 for determining a current position of the MCT based on the aforesaid signal data, a Positional Information Transmitter Unit 108 for automatically transmitting information on the position obtained by the Position Determining Unit 107 and other information, a Controller Unit 104 for sending a request command to the Positional Information Transmitter Unit 108, and a Timer Circuit Unit 102 for turning on the MCT at a predetermined time interval, after power of the MCT is turned off.This invention enables the MCT to automatically transmit the information on the position information and other information of the MCT at a predetermined time interval while the power of the MCT is on, and automatically transmit the information on the position information and other information of the MCT at the a predetermined time interval after the power of the MCT is turned off.

    摘要: In a data transmission device operable in accordance with a protocol such that the same transmission data packet is automatically repeated on nonreception of the transmission data packet at a reception end, a repetition number of the same transmission data packet is measured in a protocol interface circuit together with a selected one of a packet size and a data size carried by the transmission data packet. The repetition number and the selected size are supplied to first and second conversion tables to be converted into first and second factors which are related to a bit error rate of the transmission data packet on a transmission line and a correction factor of the first factor, respectively. The first and the second factors are added to each other to be averaged into an estimation factor of the bit error rate in consideration of preceding data packets. The estimation factor is converted by the use of a third conversion table into an optimum size of either a packet size or a data size. Consequently, transmission efficiency is improved by transmitting each transmission packet with an optimum size.

    摘要: In an encoder for use in encoding a speech signal into a plurality of excitation pulses within frames by the use of an autocorrelation and a cross-correlation derived in relation to the speech signal, the cross-correlation is produced through an inverse filter and a convolution filter having an impulse response determined in connection with the autocorrelation. The autocorrelation is normalized with respect to a maximum value thereof while the cross-correlation is also normalized in response to the normalized autocorrelation. A search for the excitation pulses is made with reference to the autocorrelation and the cross-correlation both of which are normalized.
