Abstract: A tile saw includes a base, a frame assembly disposed on the base, a first rail disposed on the frame assembly, the first rail having a longitudinal axis. A table is slidingly disposed on the first rail and a support assembly is disposed on the base. A fence assembly is attachable to the table and has a first fence and a second fence for contacting the workpiece. The second fence is pivotably attached to the first fence and pivotable about a substantially horizontal axis. A saw assembly is supported by the support assembly and includes a motor, and a cutting wheel driven by the motor.

The motor housing has an inlet for allowing air into the motor housing, a serpentine path within the motor housing, between the inlet and the motor, for directing air through the motor housing, and a filter within the motor housing.

Abstract: A drill includes a housing and a motor coupled to an output member by a transmission. The transmission can selectively couple the output member to an output spindle through a low speed output gear or a high speed output gear for rotating the output spindle at a first speed or a second speed, respectively. Alternatively or additionally, a low speed mode can be provided by actuating an electronic switch that limits the speed of the motor. A rotatably fixed hammer member and a rotatable hammer member can be mounted around the output spindle. A mode collar can be rotatably mounted on the housing and around the output member for movement to positions that correspond to various mode of operation, including a low speed mode, a high speed mode, and a hammer-drilling mode. In the hammer-drilling mode, the transmission operates in the high speed mode.

Abstract: An oscillating belt sander or spindle sander is disclosed. The sander includes a motor shaft that extends upwardly through a worktable that supports a workpiece. The motor shaft supports a belt sander or spindle sander sanding surface. A combined motor and mechanical drive transmits rotational and reciprocating motion to the motor shaft which includes input and output motor shaft ends. The motor operates to impart rotational motion through the output motor shaft end while the mechanical drive is connected to the input motor shaft end and also imparts reciprocating motion through the output motor shaft end. The output motor shaft end facilitates interchangeable mounting of a spindle sander sleeve or a sanding belt. Thus, the sander is readily adaptable for conversion to a belt sander or spindle sander, as may be desired.
