The cadence-based media content selection engine configured to identify a media content item based on the cadence determined by the cadence-acquiring device. The phase-aligned media playback engine configured to align the identified media content item to the repetitive-motion activity and cause the media-output device to output the aligned media content item.

In addition, face and body attitude of the character may reflect an emotion that is associated with the region of interest, for example scare, happiness or interest. The user will naturally be incited at looking in the direction indicated by the inserted character.

摘要: A virtual reality (VR) console receives slow calibration data from an imaging device and fast calibration data from an inertial measurement unit on a virtual reality headset. Using a model of the VR headset, the VR console identifies model locators corresponding to locators on the VR headset and generates estimated positions for locators included in slow calibration data. The VR console adjusts calibration parameters so a relative distance between estimated positions of the locators and positions of their corresponding model locators is less than a threshold value. From the estimated positions, the VR console generates calibrated positions of a reference point on the VR headset associated with images from the slow calibration data. The VR console determines predicted positions of the reference point from the calibrated positions and adjusts calibration parameters so intermediate estimated positions of the reference point are within a threshold distance of the predicted positions.

摘要: Motion vector estimation is provided for generating and displaying images at a frame rate that is greater than a rendering frame rate. The displayed images may include late stage graphical adjustments of pre-rendered scenes that incorporate motion vector estimations. A head-mounted display (HMD) device may determine a predicted pose associated with a future position and orientation of the HMD, render a current frame based on the predicted pose, determine a set of motion vectors based on the current frame and a previous frame, generate an updated image based on the set of motion vectors and the current frame, and display the updated image on the HMD. In one embodiment, the HMD may determine an updated pose associated with the HMD subsequent to or concurrent with generating the current frame, and generate the updated image based on the updated pose and the set of motion vectors.

The sensor data is processed to generate a processed sensor data set, wherein the processed sensor data set is scaled for the size of the user. The processed sensor data set is converted to a pose data set. The pose vector data set is then used by a viewer device to render the body pose of the user.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed for target-based AR devices to perform low-power front-end passive scanning of targets to alert users to AR content linked to any image targets the users may be viewing. Passive scanning by AR devices relieves users of the need to manually activate a camera for AR image target identification, and helps to identify image targets the users may be unknowingly viewing. To conserver power, AR devices may autonomously activate a camera to perform an exploratory scan when the AR devices detect from users' movement patterns that users may be interested in certain targets or is in a state of attentiveness. AR devices may identify one or more image targets from the exploratory scans. If users elect to interact with the AR content, AR devices may activate the camera to perform a full capture or real-time tracking of the image targets to augment the AR content.
