摘要: A virtual image generation system for use by an end user comprises a projection subsystem configured for generating a collimated light beam, and a display configured emitting light rays in response to the collimated light beam to display a pixel of an image frame to the end user. The pixel has a location encoded with angles of the emitted light rays. The virtual image generation system further comprises a sensing assembly configured for sensing at least one parameter indicative of at least one of the emitted light ray angles, and a control subsystem configured for generating image data defining a location of the pixel, and controlling an angle of the light beam relative to the display based on the defined location of the pixel and the sensed parameter(s).

摘要: Systems and methods are described for generating a virtual reality experience including generating a user interface with a plurality of regions on a display in a head-mounted display device. The head-mounted display device housing may include at least one pass-through camera device. The systems and methods can include obtaining image content from the at least one pass-through camera device and displaying a plurality of virtual objects in a first region of the plurality of regions in the user interface, the first region substantially filling a field of view of the display in the head-mounted display device. In response to detecting a change in a head position of a user operating the head-mounted display device, the methods and systems can initiate display of updated image content in a second region of the user interface.

The device further determines the visual generation parameters so as to spatially adjust continuously the representations of the virtual scenes in function of the positions of the user's eyes. An individual head equipment comprises such a device, a helmet, at least one visual generation apparatus (4, 40), and one or more sensor(s) (3) providing the positions of the user's eyes.

A light-guiding element is coupled to the eyeglasses frame and at least one optical coupling-in element and at least one optical coupling-out element are optically coupled to the light-guiding element. The coupling-in element is positioned such that the beam of light is directed into the light-guiding element via the coupling-in element, and the coupling-in and coupling-out elements are positioned such that the beam diverges from a focal point located within 3 mm of the coupling-out element. 摘要: An eye tracking system, images the surface (e.g., sclera) of each eye of a user to capture an optical flow field resulting from a texture of the imaged surface. The eye tracking system includes illumination source (e.g., laser) and a detector (e.g., camera). The source illuminates a portion of the eye that is imaged the camera. As the eye moves, different areas of the eye are imaged, allowing generation of a map of a portion of the eye. An image of a portion of the eye is includes a diffraction pattern (i.e., the optical flow) corresponding to the portion of the eye. Through a calibration process, the optical flow is mapped to a location where the eye is looking.

摘要: A contact lens, system of contact lenses, and a method for detecting eye convergence includes detecting a first inward gaze with first gaze detection circuitry included in a first contact lens disposed on a first eye. A first inward gaze signal is transmitted from the first contact lens to a second contact lens disposed in a second eye in response to detecting the first inward gaze. A second inward gaze is detected with second gaze detection circuitry included in a second contact lens disposed on the second eye. The first inward gaze signal is received by the second contact lens. If the first inward gaze signal is received within a pre-determined time period from detecting the second inward gaze, an optical power for the second eye is adjusted.
