    摘要: Provided is a gradationally controlled inverter formed by series-connection between: a main inverter circuitry which has main inverter arms for outputting AC voltages for respective phases, and to which a voltage of a DC source is applied through a DC busbar; and a sub-inverter circuitry having three single-phase sub-inverters. Each of short-circuit switches is connected between an input terminal and an output terminal of a corresponding one of the sub-inverters. At the time of a failure of the sub-inverter, a bypass for current is formed for only the failure phase by causing short-circuiting at the short-circuit switch connected to the sub-inverter, and only the main inverter arm for the failure phase is operated as a three-level inverter.

When N equals two, a phase of the N phases can include an upper gate and a lower gate. The apparatus can also include a current detector configured to detect a phase current magnitude of the output alternating current. The apparatus can also include a controller coupled to the current detector and to the inverter. The controller can generate a gate command for controlling a gate of the inverter. The controller can also determine a value for a current threshold less than a shutoff current threshold for the external component. The controller can provide a protection command to turn off the upper gate of a corresponding phase of the inverter responsive to detecting that the phase current magnitude is greater than the current threshold.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method for operating an electric drive apparatus (1), wherein: the drive apparatus (1) comprises at least one electric machine (2) and power electronics (7) assigned to the machine (2); the power electronics (7) comprise a DC link capacitor (8) and at least one half bridge (10), which has at least a first semiconductor switch (13B) and a second semiconductor switch (12B); at least the first semiconductor switch (13B) is assigned a DESAT protection circuit (15), a DESAT terminal (21) of the DESAT protection circuit (15) being electrically connected to an anode (19) of the first semiconductor switch (13B); when a discharging specification is present, a discharging mode for discharging the DC link capacitor (8) is set; and, in the discharging mode, the first semiconductor switch (13B) is conductingly switched and the second semiconductor switch (12B) is alternately conductingly switched and nonconductingly switched. According to the invention, in the discharging mode the DESAT terminal (21) is electrically connected to a cathode (16) of the first semiconductor switch (13B) in order to inhibit triggering of the DESAT protection circuit (15).
