    Abstract: Provided is a chemical analysis apparatus which has a stirring function for stirring, by using an ultrasonic element, a reagent or the like and a sample to be measured, and with which it is possible to infer the presence or absence of a reaction liquid and estimate the liquid amount of the reaction liquid without using a means such as a sensor and a visual inspection. This chemical analysis apparatus has an ultrasonic stirring mechanism and is characterized in that the ultrasonic stirring mechanism comprises: a piezoelectric element; a plurality of electrodes provided to the piezoelectric element; a power source unit for applying voltage to the electrodes; a detection unit for measuring electric impedance for each of the plurality of electrodes or for any combination of the electrodes; and an analysis unit for determining the liquid amount in a reaction vessel from the electric impedance detected by the detection unit. The chemical analysis apparatus is characterized in that the detection unit measures the electric impedance in a state where a reaction vessel having two or more different amounts of liquid dispensed therein faces the piezoelectric element, and the analysis unit estimates the liquid amount in the reaction vessel on the basis of the change amount in the electric impedance measured by the detection unit.

    Abstract: A consumption meter, e.g. a water or heat meter, for measuring a flow rate of a fluid supplied in a flow tube. First and second ultrasonic transducers are arranged at the flow tube for transmitting and receiving ultrasonic signals transmitted through the fluid and operated by a flow measurement sub-circuit for generating a signal indicative of the flow rate of the fluid. A noise measurement sub-circuit operates a sensor arranged at the flow tube for detection of acoustic signals of the flow tube, and being arranged to generate a signal indicative of a noise level of the flow tube accordingly. This sensor may comprise a separate transducer, or the sensor may be constituted by one or both of the first and second ultrasonic transducers. The consumption meter may communicate data representative of the noise level via a communication module along with data consumed amount of water, heat etc. Such consumer noise level measurement at the consumer site allows collection of noise level data to assist in locating fluid leakages in a fluid supply pipe system.

    Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to apparatus and methods for automatic fluid flow system connectors. The system generally includes a load cell interface coupled to a console and a ring connector coupled to a fluid collection system. The ring connector can be releasably engaged with the load cell using an engagement structure such as a latch, locking arm, or spring clip mechanism. The ring connector and load cell can include electrical contacts configured to engage along an axis that extends perpendicular to a surface that the electrical contacts are disposed on. Advantageously, reduced wear on the electrical contacts should extend the usable life of the system.

    Abstract: A system for monitoring a fill level of a container includes a wireless module disposed on the container including an enclosure, a processor and a wireless transceiver disposed within the enclosure, and a cable mounted to the enclosure. A solar panel is integrated into a surface of the enclosure and is configured to provide power to the processor. A first pressure sensor is attached to an end of the cable distal from the enclosure and a second pressure sensor is attached to an opposite end within the enclosure. The enclosure is mounted outside of the container. The cable is inserted into the container such that the first pressure sensor is disposed near a bottom of the container. The first pressure sensor measures a pressure at the bottom of the container. The second pressure sensor measures a pressure outside of the container. The readings from the first pressure sensor and the second pressure sensor are cross-correlated to determine a net pressure for use in calculating the fill level of the container.

The injection system includes a high-pressure pump, a high-pressure region that adjoins the high-pressure pump, a pressure sensor, and an injector that is fed from the high-pressure region. The method includes detecting a measurement signal using the pressure sensor and segmenting a first pressure profile from the measurement signal. The first pressure profile characterizes the pressure profile prior to a fluid injection using the injector. The method also includes segmenting a second pressure profile from the measurement signal. The second pressure profile characterizes the pressure profile after the fluid injection using the injector. The method also includes performing a kernel density estimation using the first pressure profile and the second pressure profile, ascertaining a pressure difference, and ascertaining the fluid injection quantity using the pressure difference.

    Abstract: A flow sensor of a domestic appliance has an axle that is substantially perpendicular in the installed state to the flow direction of a fluid channel of the domestic appliance. The bearing component is designed as a single part and has at least two interconnected limbs, each limb having an axle mount for one end of the axle of the flow sensor, wherein the two axle mounts are mutually spaced apart in such a way that they correspond in a relaxed condition of the bearing component to an extension of the axle of the flow sensor.
