摘要: An ultrastable cementitious material with nano-molecular veneer makes a cementitious material by blending 29 wt % to 40 wt % of a magnesium oxide dry powder containing 80 wt % to 98 wt % of magnesium oxide based on a final total weight of the cementitious material, with 14 wt % to 18 wt % of a magnesium chloride dissolved in water and reacting to form a liquid suspension, mixing from 2 to 10 minutes, adding a phosphorus-containing material, and allowing the liquid suspension to react into an amorphous phase cementitious material, wherein a portion of the amorphous phase cementitious material grows a plurality of crystals. The plurality of crystals are encapsulated by the amorphous phase cementitious material forming a nano-molecular veneer. A process to make the ultrastable cementitious material. A tile backer board incorporating the ultrastable cementitious material and a process for making the tile backer board.

摘要: A fracture caused by fatigue of a connecting portion positioned at a corner of a reinforcing frame directly secured to a frame is avoided regardless of a relative displacement that occurs in the frame upon disposing the reinforcing frame made of steel, which has an elevational shape surrounding the frame along an inner circumferential surface of the frame and a cross-sectional shape with a flange on a side of the frame, in a structure plane of the frame of a column and a beam of reinforced concrete structure, and joining the reinforcing frame to the inner circumferential surface of the frame. A reinforcing frame is constituted of a column portion along a column of a frame, a beam portion along a beam, and a connecting portion that is joined to the column portion and the beam portion, and connects the column portion to the beam portion. The connecting portion has a flange with a part close to the column portion and the beam portion formed to be shaped along an inner circumferential surface of the frame, and a part of the flange facing a corner of the frame formed into a shape in which a void is formed between the part and the corner of the frame.

摘要: An article to suppress cracking of drywall at interior corners features a thin metal brace that includes a piece of sheet metal between 3 and 30 gauge thickness. If the device as-produced or as-received starts out as a flat sheet of metal, the base or flange of the device is then bent at about a 90 degree angle with respect to the rest of the device—the tongue. When the base or flange is then placed flat along the side of a stud or framing, the tongue of the device will then lie flat or flush along the front side of the stud, but at an angle, for example, 45 degrees, with respect to the longitudinal axis of the stud. In a door or window frame, another stud will intersect the first stud at a right angle. Where the tongue crosses this second stud, the tongue may be fastened to this second stud. In another embodiment, the tongue may be bent or folded over and fastened to the side of the stud. This device can be fastened with screws, nails, or staples, as well as a pressed gang plate system. Thus, the instant device serves to tie the framing members together.

摘要: A composite building system comprising a structural frame and walls which is made of pultrusion fiber reinforced polymer (PFRP) material. PFRP provides increased performance, strength, protection, and longevity for mobile and fixed building structures, enclosures or vehicles, commonly found in residential, commercial, industrial, healthcare, aerospace, government defense, energy, and agriculture sectors. The PFRP material comprises fibers embedded in a resin matrix. Exemplary fibers are glass, carbon, and synthetic fibers. PFRP products can be formed using a pultrusion method that eliminates outgassing. An intumescent fire barrier can be applied to the PFRP to meet National Fire Protection Association fire endurance codes and standards. The composite building system increases personal safety while reducing weight, labor costs, construction time, and total cost of ownership over the life of the structure while being resistant to ballistic, seismic, corrosion, rotting, impact, and insect damage. In addition, a wall and wall assembly consisting of the PFRP material is impervious to water and air and does not require an exterior finish coating. The PFRP wall and wall assembly can be designed to be versatile, allowing for use with both PFRP structural framing and traditional framing materials, such as concrete, steel, and wood.

摘要: The present disclosure is directed to climbing wall assemblies having a variety of improvements. For instance, the climbing wall assemblies may include connectors to attach the surface panels to the framework, in which the connectors may be mounted substantially anywhere along the front of the framework and at substantially any angle, providing for the securement of climbing panels in various geometries. The climbing wall assemblies may also include braces that may easily be adjusted to a desired length and configuration during construction of a climbing wall. The climbing wall assemblies may also include variable-angle, integral front posts, which provide for the easy and stable securement of climbing panels in various geometries. These improvements provide climbing wall assemblies that may be easily assembled to produce a desirable climbing wall structure having few framework components.

摘要: This invention relates to a modular walling system. The system includes a plurality of primary structural members. Each primary structural member has a generally channel-shaped cross-sectional profile with an outer wall defining surface and two flanges extending away from the outer wall defining surface. The system further includes a securing means which is configured to apply a securing force to retain pairs of primary structural members in a side-by-side relationship. The securing means is configured to secure adjacent flanges of respective pairs of the primary structural members such that the adjacent flanges are held together in secure face-to-face abutment by the securing force. A primary corner member having a solid construction is connectable between a first primary structural member with its outer wall defining surface extending in a first direction, and a second primary structural member with its outer wall defining surface extending in a second direction.

The load-bearing wall-beam further comprises pillar supplements fixed in a plane of diagonal stiffening elements and coupled to the pillar supplements and the pair of the bottom plate and the top plate to stiffen the load-bearing wall-beam. Herein, the load-bearing wall-beam has a longitudinal axis thereof being free of continuous structural elements, to be permeable to on-site pouring and distribution of a filling mixture therein.

摘要: A panel is disclosed for use in construction. The panel comprises opposing surfaces that extend between first and second opposite ends. The panel also comprises a plurality of parallel (e.g. sawtooth) ridges. The ridges are provided on at least one of the opposing surfaces. The ridges extend along and adjacent to a first of the opposite ends of the panel for at least a part length thereof. The ridges are arranged to engage with and move past corresponding ridges of an adjacent panel when the panels move relative to each other in opposite directions. The ridges are further arranged so as to interfere with the ridges of the adjacent panel to resist relative movement in a reverse of the opposite direction.
