Abstract: Data-analysis-based processes for optimizing energy harvesting from a floating solar array system are provided. The processes include obtaining a data-analysis-based control to control energy harvesting from a floating solar array system on water. The floating solar array system includes a floating solar array to harvest solar energy and a kinetic energy harvester to harvest kinetic energy. The data-analysis-based control is configured to determine an environmental condition to effect the floating solar array system, and to dynamically adjust a configuration of the floating solar array system to optimize net energy harvesting of the floating solar array system from the floating solar array and the kinetic energy harvester based on the determined environmental condition to effect the floating solar array system.

Abstract: A dialysis system (e.g., a hemodialysis (HD) system) can be designed to operate in alternative environments, such as disaster relief settings or underdeveloped regions. The dialysis system can include a solar panel for generating electricity to power the dialysis machine and an atmospheric water generator for extracting water from ambient air. The extracted water can be used to generate dialysate and saline on-site. One or more of the components of the dialysis machine can be discrete components that are configured to facilitate fast shipping and simple on-site assembly (e.g., at a remote location). In some implementations, the discrete components may be configured to be attached to an existing dialysis system (e.g., a dialysis system designed for operation in a traditional environment) to permit the dialysis system to operate in an alternative environment.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods of use for a magnetic coupling device is disclosed. The magnetic device may have a plurality of magnets to create a magnetic field to the devices enclosed within the device. The coupling device may have a housing that encloses and/or partially surrounds one or more rotatable shafts. The coupling device may couple an output shaft from a motor to an input shaft of a generator. The coupling device may have an electric coil that when energized may vary any applied magnetic field to the rotatable shafts. The magnetic device may have a first plurality of magnets positioned at a first radial position and a second plurality of magnets positioned at a second radial position, with the first magnets being rotatable and the second magnets being stationary. Multiple magnetic coupling devices may be coupled together in series to provide increased magnetic fields to the enclosed system.
