摘要: Methods of crude oil stabilization may include separating crude oil in a bulk separator into a first light hydrocarbon stream, a first water stream, and a first bottoms stream; separating the first bottoms stream in an intermediate pressure separator into a second light hydrocarbon stream, a second water stream, and a second bottoms stream; separating the second bottoms stream in a separator into a third light hydrocarbon stream, a third water stream, and a third bottoms stream; introducing a stripping gas stream comprising methane into the separator; storing the third bottoms stream in a vessel comprising an outlet for a fourth light hydrocarbon stream; treating at least a portion of the first, second, third, and fourth light hydrocarbon streams in a vapor treatment process to form a final light hydrocarbon stream; and recycling at least a portion of the final light hydrocarbon stream to the separator.

摘要: A method for producing a diesel having improved cold flow properties, the method comprising the steps of introducing a crude oil to a distillation column, separating the crude oil in the distillation unit to produce a light gas oil, and a light vacuum gas oil, where the light gas oil has a T95% cut point in the range between 300 deg C. and 340 deg C., where the light vacuum gas oil has a T95% cut point in the range between 400 deg C. and 430 deg C., processing the light vacuum gas oil in the supercritical water unit to produce an upgraded vacuum gas oil, separating the upgraded vacuum gas oil in the fractionator to produce an upgraded light fraction, an upgraded light gas oil, and upgraded heavy fraction, introducing the upgraded light gas oil into a diesel pool, and blending the light gas oil into the diesel pool.

摘要: Methods are provided for processing deasphalted gas oils derived from thermally cracked resid fractions to form Group I, Group II, and/or Group III lubricant base oils. The yield of lubricant base oils (optionally also referred to as base stocks) can be increased by thermally cracking a resid fraction at an intermediate level of single pass severity relative to conventional methods. By performing thermal cracking to a partial level of conversion, compounds within a resid fraction that are beneficial for increasing both the viscosity and the viscosity index of a lubricant base oil can be retained, thus allowing for an improved yield of higher viscosity lubricant base oils from a thermally cracked resid fraction.

摘要: The present invention relates to the field of the extraction of sulphur-containing compounds such as the mercaptans, COS or H2S from a hydrocarbon-containing cut. This selective extraction is carried out by bringing the hydrocarbon-containing cut in liquid phase into contact with an alkaline solution, for example soda. The process according to the invention is an improved process for the regeneration of the alkaline solution, making it possible to reduce the quantity of alkaline solution required in the regeneration section.
