摘要: A two-part curable composition comprises: a Part A component comprising polythiol having a thiol group functionality of at least two, and tertiary amine accelerator; and a Part B component comprising polyene comprising at least two of non-aromatic C—C double bonds, C—C triple bonds, or a combination thereof and organic peroxide curative. At least one of the polythiol or the polyene comprises a respective reaction product of reaction components comprising: HSR1O(CH2CHR2O)aR1SH wherein each R1 independently represents an alkyl group having from 2 to 12 carbon atoms, each R2 independently represents H or CH3, and a represents an integer from 1 to 20; triallyl isocyanurate; H2═CHOR1O(CH2CHR2O)aR1OCH═CH2; and. A method of making a curable composition comprises combining the Part A and Part B components of the two-part curable composition. Methods of sealing a substrate and adhering two substrates, and articles made thereby are also disclosed. (Formula AA)

摘要: Curable sealant compositions comprise the components: a) x weight percent of at least one polythiol; b) y weight percent of at least one unsaturated compound having at least two non-aromatic carbon-carbon double bonds, at least one carbon-carbon triple bond, or a combination thereof; c) from 0.01 to 8 weight percent of at least one quaternary ammonium or phosphonium salt; d) from 0.05 to 10 weight percent of at least one organic peroxide; and e) optionally from 0.01 to 10 weight percent of a photoinitiator system capable of generating free radicals upon exposure to actinic radiation. Each of x and y represents a positive real number. The sum x+y is in the range of 72 to 99. The weight percent ranges of the components a)-e) are based on the total weight of the components a)-e). A seal cap including the curable sealant composition and methods of making and using the curable sealant compositions are also disclosed.

摘要: A liquid crystal cell according to the present invention includes a TFT board including a first dielectric substrate, TFTs supported by the first dielectric substrate, and patch electrodes, a slot board including a second dielectric substrate and a slot electrode having slots and supported by the second dielectric substrate, and a liquid crystal layer between the TFT board and the slot board, which are positioned with the patch electrodes and the slot electrode facing each other, and a sealant disposed between the TFT board and the slot board and surrounding the liquid crystal layer. The liquid crystal layer includes a liquid crystal compound containing an isothiocyanate group. The sealant includes an ene-thiol compound in which an ene compound and a thiol compound are bonded by using a radical.

摘要: Polythioether polymers, sealants containing polythioether polymers, and compounds useful as stabilizing monomers in the manufacture of polythioether polymers are provided. In many embodiments the polymers and sealants demonstrate reduced risk of spoilage that may be caused by low temperature storage of the polymer or uncured sealant. Compounds useful as stabilizing monomers include compounds according to formula I: CH2═CR1—CHR2—S—R3—S—CHR4—CR5═CH2 [I] wherein R1, R2, R4 and R5 are independently selected from —H, —CH3 or —C2H5, and wherein R3 is selected from divalent groups comprising 2-12 carbon atoms, 0-5 ether oxygen atoms and 0-5 thioether sulfur atoms, which may be straight, branched or cyclic.
