摘要: The present application introduces a membrane fouling warning methodology grounded in machine learning. It utilizes a machine learning-based membrane fouling prediction model to automatically forecast and generate electrochemical information values, which characterize the extent of membrane fouling at various time points, based on influent water quality parameters. It then acquires the electrochemical information values Zt at a moment t and Z++Δt at a moment t+Δt. Subsequently, it computes and assesses the respective fouling levels using the electrochemical information values derived from the membrane fouling prediction model. Finally, it issues an early warning signal contingent upon the determined warning level. This methodology facilitates proactive understanding and management of membrane fouling, thereby sustaining the normal operation of the membrane fouling treatment system, mitigating the propensity for membrane assembly fouling, and prolonging the operational lifespan of the membrane assembly.

摘要: Water purification occurs under the influence of cold plasma obtained in water, which has a two-phase state, in which water and the smallest bubbles filled with gases dissolved in water are simultaneously present in the turbulence zone. The plasma is ignited inside the gas bubbles when exposed to an electric high-voltage nanosecond pulse. Since the turbulence zone located behind the flow body is saturated-saturated with fine bubbles, the plasma discharge in the bubbles becomes voluminous and diffuse in consistency. The combination of the hydrodynamic effect on water by the flow body and the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in a volumetric plasma discharge in the turbulence zone causes a synergistic effect that increases the efficiency of water treatment.

摘要: A system and method for treating water containing at least one contaminant. The system and method include a water treatment module such as a reverse osmosis unit. An electrochemical contaminant detection system is positioned in the waste water stream of the water treatment module. The contaminant detection system includes a contaminant sensor and a water quality sensor module. The contaminant sensor measures the concentration of the contaminant in the waste water stream and the water quality sensor module measures one or more water quality parameters of the waste water stream. A processor uses an algorithm to determine the concentration of the contaminant in the feed water based on the measurements of the contaminant sensor and water quality sensor module.

摘要: A process and system for indirect seawater, and other contaminated waters, electrolysis are provided. The system includes a pressure retarded osmosis unit including a semipermeable membrane, and a high pressure electrolyzer unit including an anode and a cathode, with an osmotic agent solution being circulated at high pressure between the draw side of the pressure retarded osmosis unit and the electrolyzer unit. The osmotic agent solution is diluted in the PRO unit as molecular water is drawn into it from the feed solution side through the semipermeable PRO membrane, and it is concentrated in the electrolyzer unit as molecular water is removed by electrolysis. The PRO process supplies the electrolyzer with the required molecular water for electrolysis and maintains a high pressure of the electrolyzer feed.

摘要: A method for reacting a liquid phase chemical species includes the steps of providing liquid phase containing at least one liquid phase chemical species, providing a gas phase, and providing a reactor vessel for containing the liquid phase and the gas phase. The liquid phase and the gas phase are placed in the reactor vessel so as to form a liquid-gas interface between the liquid phase and the gas phase within the reactor vessel. A pulsed discharge cathode and anode are provided for creating a pulsed discharge electric field at the liquid-gas interface. A pulsed power input to the pulsed discharge cathode and anode is provided, thereby creating a plasma comprising ions at the liquid-gas interface. A secondary electric field is directed transverse to the liquid-gas interface, wherein the secondary electric field will drive ions from the gas phase into the liquid phase to react with the liquid phase species.
