摘要： Layer constructions allow an adhesive tape to be wound to form a spool simply and with relatively uncomplicated apparatus. At least one layered construction comprises: an adhesive tape comprising at least one outer layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive; a release liner lying on the outer layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive; and an interliner lying on the side of the adhesive tape opposite the outer layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive, at least the side of the interliner facing away from the adhesive tape being adhesively furnished, wherein all layers of the layered construction finish substantially flush with respect to each other. At least one spool comprising a spool core and the at least one layered construction wound crosswise in a plurality of plies on said core, and a method for producing the at least one spool are also disclosed.

摘要： A core for winding sheet material is proved. The core comprises a cylindrical tube having a longitudinally oriented slot formed therein, and a strip of soft material located in the slot. Because of the geometry of the slot and the strip, the strip may be softer (less compressed) in the central region but firmer where the core transitions from the relatively soft strip to the relatively hard tube. The leading edge of the sheet material imbeds itself into the soft central region of the strip as additional layers are wound around the core.

摘要： A pipe coil skid includes a plurality of beams affixably connected together to form a rectangular shaped base and a platform disposed within the base. The platform has a concave upward shape on its upward facing side when the skid sits on a horizontal surface, such that a coil of pipe positioned upon the platform contacts the platform within the base. The pipe coil skid also includes a first side rail coupled to at least one of the plurality of beams. The first side rail is configured to block movement of the coil of pipe beyond a boundary of the rectangular shaped base.

摘要： A reusable, one-piece, rubberized tape protector cover for a roll of tape that fits snugly onto the roll to protect its edges from coming into contact with dirt or moisture that might be on the floor. The device has a spindle of varying widths to accommodate different thicknesses of tape and two parallel side walls that extend outward from the spindle in wheel-like fashion. The device is installed on a roll of tape by compressing one of the two side walls and then pushing the compressed side wall through the hollow center of the roll of tape before releasing it. When released, the side wall resumes its former shape. In this installed position, the spindle is located within the hollow part of the roll of tape and the two parallel side walls extend on either side of the roll of tape and hug the side edges of the tape.
