Abstract: A reel assembly machine for assembling a bottom flange and a top flange to a reel core of a reel includes a lower assembly device including a support plate for supporting the bottom flange of the reel. The lower assembly device includes a locating jig for positioning the bottom flange on the support plate. The lower assembly device includes a lower staple gun configured to staple the bottom flange to the reel core. The reel assembly machine includes an upper assembly device including a pressure plate configured to press against the top flange and hold the reel core between the bottom flange and the top flange. The upper assembly device includes an upper staple gun configured to staple the top flange to the reel core.

Abstract: An improved reel or spool package comprises opposing flange assemblies. Each flange assembly comprises inner and outer parallel members having a connective material in between them. A core interconnects the flange assemblies. One or more rods extends through each end of the center core such that portions of the rods are in contact with the connective material. The connective material connects the inner and outer parallel members of each flange assembly togther and holds the rods in place relative to the core and the parallel members. There is no need for additional fastening devices (e.g., bolts, screws, welds, etc.). The resulting package is extremely strong, even if a paper core is used, and can replace wood or metal reels currently used in many applications.

Abstract: Systems and methods of dispensing telecommunications cable from a network component are provided. A system includes a housing, an axle, and a spool. The housing defines an interior region and includes a cable storage portion and a mounting surface defining a receptacle. The axle is configured to removably attach to the receptacle. The spool is configured to be disposed on the axle, and has a first flange proximal to the mounting surface and a removable second flange distal to the mounting surface when the spool is disposed on the axle. The spool has a drum portion configured to support a coiled fiber optic cable and dispense the fiber optic cable as the spool rotates on the axle. Undispensed cable can be removed from the spool with the second flange removed. The cable storage portion of the housing is configured to receive the undispensed coil.

Abstract: A touchless cleaning assembly for cleaning a room in a touch-less manner includes a cabinet is recessed into a wall of a room. A plurality of hose reels is positioned in the cabinet and each of the hose reels includes a hose that is drawable outwardly from the cabinet for spraying a fluid for cleaning surfaces in the room, for blowing air to dry the surfaces and to vacuum the surfaces. An air compressor is positioned within the cabinet to direct compressed air into a respective hose reel to dry the surfaces. A vacuum is positioned within the cabinet to supply vacuum pressure to the a respective hose reel for suctionally removing the fluid from a floor of the room.
