摘要: A non-contact web guide includes a wall having a curved exterior surface and a hollow interior containing a pressurized liquid. A first row of liquid ejection holes is provided in proximity to the web guide entry position having axes that are inclined toward a downstream direction, and a second row of liquid ejection holes is provided in proximity to the web guide exit position having axes that are inclined toward an upstream direction. An intermediate array of liquid ejection holes is optionally provided. The pressurized liquid flows through the liquid ejection holes to force the web of media away from the bearing surface of the web guide. This configuration of liquid ejection holes provides the advantage that stable web guidance is achieved at low liquid flow rates.

摘要: The invention relates to a reel-up (1) for receiving and winding into a roll (5) a paper web (W) that arrives from a drying cylinder (2) in a paper making machine. The reel-up (1) comprises a rotatably mounted reel spool (4) onto which a paper web (W) can be wound to create a paper roll (5) of increasing diameter and an endless flexible belt (6) mounted for rotation along a predetermined path of travel such that the flexible belt (6) forms a loop. The flexible belt (6) is positioned adjacent to the reel spool (4) to engage the paper web (W) against the reel spool (4) during winding such that the flexible belt (6) is deflected from the predetermined path of travel when the paper roll (5) starts to build up on the reel spool (4). The flexible belt (6) is air permeable and at least one blow box (7, 8, 9) is arranged inside the loop of the flexible belt (6) such that an underpressure can be generated that draws the paper web (W) against the flexible belt (6). The at least one blow box (7, 8, 9) has at least one nozzle (10) through which air is blown out of the at least one blow box (7, 8, 9) and the nozzle is shaped as a slot. According to the invention, the at least one blow (7,8, 9) box faces the flexible belt (6) with an outer surface (11) which is convexly curved such that dust which has been sucked through the flexible belt (6) and lands on the at least one blow box (7, 8, 9) is helped by gravity to glide along the outer surface (11) of the blow box (7, 8, 9) and fall of the blow box (7, 8, 9).

The feeding spool is configured for feeding an FPCB strip. The collecting spool is for collecting the FPCB strip from the buffer device. The buffer device includes a container, a redirection cylinder and an air pump. The redirection cylinder has a cavity defined therein, and a plurality of air exit holes defined in a side wall thereof. The air exit holes are in communication with the cavity. The air pump is in communication with the container and the cavity of the redirection cylinder for evacuating the air in the container so as to retain the bent portion in situ in the container and blowing air into the cavity, so as to form a cushion of air at the air exit holes.

摘要: A system and method of modulating tape tension during operation of a tape drive data storage system in which a fixed position tape guide utilizes one or more drag elements to exert a control force on a tape medium that affects downstream tape tension. Drag elements that may be used include, but are not necessarily limited to, air ports that delivery positive or negative air pressure to the tape medium, skiving edge elements that are positionable into and out of engagement with the tape medium, and brakes or motors that engage the tape guide (if it is rotatably mounted) to control its rotational torque. A tension control circuit is used to vary the operation of the one or more drag elements. Signal inputs to the control circuit are provided by a tape tension sensor adjacent to or incorporated in the tape guide.

摘要: The present invention provides a suction roller which is capable of being adopted for sucking an object. The suction roller is provided with a negative pressure inside thereof and at least one opening for sucking the object by at least one valve disposed in each opening respectively for selectively controlling the on-off of the negative pressure through the opening. During the rotation of the suction roller, the valves in a specific area are capable of being opened so that the negative pressure can pass through the openings with respect to the opened valve to suck the object and transport the object subsequently. In another embodiment, the present invention also provides a transporting apparatus combining the suction roller and a guiding mechanism for transporting the object and compensating the shifting during the moving of the object.
