    Abstract: A rear portion of a vehicle body includes a front floor panel, a rear floor panel, a pair of left and right side sills, and a front cross plate. The rear floor panel has a higher upper surface height than the front floor panel. The front cross plate connects a rear portion of the front floor panel and a front wall of the rear floor panel, and an outer end portion in a vehicle width direction is coupled to the left and right side sills. The front wall of the rear floor panel has a plurality of bent corner portions having a side view shape bent in a substantially L shape. At least one of the bent corner portions constitutes a closed cross section extending along the vehicle width direction together with the front cross plate in a vertical height range of the left and right side sills.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided related to a brace applied to a vehicle b-pillar. The brace may achieved reduced noise and vibration in the vehicle cabin. The brace may also achieve improved safety by preserving increased survival space for a passenger seated near the b-pillar in a side impact collision. The brace may include a base portion and two legs connected to the base portion at opposing sides. The based portion may include a first edge connected to a first side of the b-pillar and a second edge connected to a second side of the b-pillar. The legs may each connected a rocker at a distal portion. The shape of the brace may enable routing of force, energy, and/or load from the b-pillar to the rocker via the base portion and legs.

The invention further relates to a method for providing a hollow profiled section (1), in which the hollow profiled section (1) is extruded and a media passage (6) is introduced into the hollow profiled section (1) in a method according to any of the preceding claims, a geometry of the profiled section web (4) being selected depending on a position of the first media outlet passage (7) and the hollow profiled section (1) being extruded with the selected geometry of the profiled section web (4).

    Abstract: A front frame structure for an electric vehicle includes a front side frame having a wall-shaped portion with a dimension in a height direction from a bottom portion to an upper portion of a motor room, and an arm-shaped portion that protrudes from an upper portion of a front end portion of the wall-shaped portion; a sub-frame that is joined to a bottom portion of the wall-shaped portion and a front end portion of the arm-shaped portion and that has an annular opening between the sub-frame and the arm-shaped portion; and a load transmission member disposed in the annular opening. The load transmission member includes two or more diagonal members coupled to each other. The load transmission member is joined to at least the front end portion of the arm-shaped portion, a rear end portion of the arm-shaped portion, and an intermediate portion of the sub-frame.
