    摘要: A method of manufacturing magnets and a method of manufacturing a rotor are provided. An intermediate member includes a sheet and magnet bodies. The sheet includes a first sheet surface and a second sheet surface on a side opposite to the first sheet surface. The magnet bodies are located on the first sheet surface. A first die is made of an elastic material having an elastic coefficient lower than the elastic coefficient of the magnet bodies. The intermediate member is arranged between the first die and a second die such that the second sheet surface of the sheet faces the first die. The first die and the second die hold the intermediate member in between. Accordingly, the sheet is cut at positions between adjacent ones of the magnet bodies.

In one example, a housing for a fastener includes a central conduit adapted to receive the fastener, and a radial key extending outward from an outer surface of the housing. The radial key is first pressed against a vehicle component in an axial direction of the housing to form a first section of a channel within an interior of the vehicle component, and the key is then rotated against the interior to form an undercut, second section of the channel in a circumferential direction of the housing.

    摘要: A method of attaching a thermoplastic-based workpiece and a metal workpiece involves the use of a metal reaction coating. The metal reaction coating is applied over a base metal substrate of the metal workpiece such that the metal reaction coating faces and contacts the thermoplastic-based workpiece when the two workpieces are assembled in overlapping fashion. To attach the workpieces at their faying interface, an energy source such as, for example, a laser beam or an electric arc, is directed against the metal workpiece to create a zone of concentrated heat that at least warms up the metal reaction coating and melts a portion of the thermoplastic-based workpiece. Such heated activity at the faying interface promotes interfacial chemical bonding between the thermoplastic-based workpiece and the metal workpiece that contributes to an enhanced attachment between the workpieces.

    摘要: A metal-resin joining device joins a thermoplastic resin plate (12) to a metal plate (13) by melting the resin plate (12) in contact with the metal plate (13) through heating an exposed face of the metal plate (13) by one-sided resistive heating. The metal-resin joining device has a center electrode (24a) that is brought in contact with the metal plate (13) and a peripheral electrode (24b) that is brought in contact with the metal plate (13) to annularly surround the center electrode (24a) and to which a current flows from the center electrode (24a) via the metal plate (13), wherein the peripheral electrode (24b) is made of a metal material having a higher electrical resistance than the center electrode (24a).
