摘要: A turret-head assembly including a turret head-assembly support member defining a turret-head axis and a base plate having an aperture through the center thereof, the turret head-assembly support member extending therethrough. The base plate is rigidly coupled to the turret head-assembly support member. The turret-head assembly further comprises a front housing and a pivot plate positioned between the base plate and the front housing. A first side of the pivot plate is coupled with a first side of the front housing. A second side of the pivot plate is coupled with a first side of the base plate. 摘要: Molds for forming formed containers with reduced or eliminated parting lines, and systems and methods of forming the formed containers, using electromagnetic radiation are disclosed. In some aspects, the forming mold includes a multi-segment mold disposed about an electromagnetic coil. The multi-segment mold having a plurality of circumferential segments, a bottom mold section and an annular ring. Each of the circumferential segments including an inner surface wherein the plurality of inner surfaces defines a desired shape of the formed containers. The bottom mold section being adapted to hold and move the pre-form articles about an electromagnetic coil and into and out of the forming mold. The annular ring being adapted to hold, seal and optionally shape a top section of the pre-form articles so as to reduce or eliminate parting lines on the surface of the formed containers.

At least two resilient devices are configured to be compressed in response to movement of the container guide in a first direction and are configured to decompress in response to movement of the container guide in a second, generally opposite direction.

Improved embossing/debossing tools are also disclosed (FIGS. 8a-23).

摘要: The present invention relates generally to a container that may be sealed and reclosed with a threaded closure. More specifically, the present invention relates to methods of manufacturing a metallic container having an opening with inwardly facing threads. The threads are formed on the metallic container by pressing a neck portion of the metallic container against closure threads of a threaded closure which is inserted at least partially into the opening. The container threads may optionally be formed while the threaded closure is in tension. In this manner, after the container threads are formed, the closure threads can apply a force to the container threads such that the threaded closure is in tension. The container opening may be selectively sealed and reclosed with the threaded closure which releasably engages the container threads. Novel apparatus and methods of sealing metallic containers and forming threads on the metallic containers are also disclosed.
