This imaging provides useful landmarks and information about tortuosity and position. The method then measures pump and/or pump catheter position during insertion using direct or indirect techniques. This pump position can then be overlayed onto the three-dimensional image or map created by the guidewire to determine inflow position in the vessel, the proximity to key landmarks, and assist in the delivery without fluoroscopy.

The distal open end of the outer sleeve has a wall thickness not exceeding about 0.003 inch. The inner cannula includes a tapered distal end portion.     摘要: A catheter includes a handle with torqueing and steering mechanisms. The torqueing mechanism includes a rotatable nosecone and a bearing coupled to the nosecone to be rotatable therewith. The bearing is concentrically disposed over a shaft of the catheter. The steering mechanism includes a rack coupled to the bearing to be slideable therewith and a pull wire having a proximal end attached to the bearing and a distal end attached to a distal portion of the shaft. Rotation of the nosecone causes an entire length of the shaft to rotate and axial movement of the rack tensions the pull wire to bend the distal portion of the shaft. A valve relief component is slidingly disposed over the shaft and is configured to dock onto the handle when not in use.

    摘要: The subject guide catheter extension system with a micro-catheter delivery catheter includes an outer sheath, an inner member extending within the sheath, and a mechanism for engagement/disengagement of the inner member to/from the sheath. Several mechanisms of engagement/disengagement between the inner and outer members are provided including a friction mechanism, threaded mechanism, pull away sheath, and engagement/disengagement mechanism for pusher's handles. The sheath and the inner member are modified for different engagement/disengagement mechanisms operation. A micro-catheter delivery system provides for an improved atraumatic crossability to the treatment site in an expedited and simplified fashion. During a procedure, a guidewire along with a guide catheter are advanced to the vicinity of the treatment site within a blood vessel. Subsequent thereto, the subject guide catheter extension system is manipulated to advance the micro-catheter along the guidewire inside the guide catheter towards and beyond the site of interest. Once the micro-catheter is in place, the outer sheath slides along the micro-catheter until reaching the lesion, and then the inner member is removed from the sheath, and the sheath then is ready for passing the treatment catheter (stent/balloon) towards the lesion to be treated.

The stent graft delivery system includes a stent graft cover configured to maintain a stent graft in a constricted configuration, and is configured to slide relative to the stent graft to enable the stent graft to expand radially outwardly. The stent graft cover extends along a first central axis. A tapered tip defining an opening therethrough is configured to track along a guidewire. The opening extends along a second central axis that is offset from the first central axis. This provides a delivery system with an opening in a leading edge that is not center relative to the outer stent graft cover.
