摘要: The present invention relates to a process for producing a color-graded blank for dental restorations by way of a sedimentation process, to a blank obtained by the process according to the invention and to the use of a suspension for producing a color-graded dental restoration. The method comprises: a) providing a suspension comprising i) a liquid dispersant and ii) a base material and iii) one or more coloring substances; b) partial sedimentation with the formation of a sediment having a color gradient and a suspension supernatant; c) optionally completely or partially removing the suspension supernatant; d) adding a suspension comprising coloring substances, which suspension differs from the suspension in step a); e) sedimentation or partial sedimentation with the formation of a sediment having a color gradient and a suspension supernatant; f) optionally repeating steps c) and d) or step d) one or more times; g) solidifying the sediment with the formation of a color-graded blank.

摘要: In one aspect, a method for manufacturing a glazed dental prosthesis includes at least the steps of: a) providing a dental prosthesis body; b) position sensitive application of a predetermined amount of a glaze composition to at least a part of the dental prosthesis body surface, wherein the glaze comprises a heat sensitive coloring indicator and wherein this step is performed one or more times; c) controlling the applied glaze amount at least at one position of the glazed dental prosthesis body surface by assessing the color intensity at that position; and d) subjecting the coated dental body to a heat treatment to form the glazed dental prosthesis, wherein the temperature in the heat treatment is larger or equal to the de-composition temperature of the heat sensitive color indicator, wherein at least 90 mol-% of the coloring indicator are transformed into the colorless leuko-form.

A dental prosthesis may be made of a ceramic material that comprises a molybdenum-containing component on a portion of the prosthesis that contacts the gingival surface of a patient. In one method, a porous zirconia ceramic structure is shaped in the form of a dental prosthesis, and then infiltrated with a molybdenum-containing composition, before sintering to densify the ceramic structure.

摘要: A system includes a mold of a dental arch of a patient. The mold includes teeth extending from a first distal end of the dental arch to a second distal end of the dental arch. An orthodontic aligner is to be formed over the teeth of the mold. The teeth of the mold are shaped to correspond to tooth-receiving cavities of the orthodontic aligner. The system includes a pre-fabricated attachment that includes a traceability component configured to be used to determine one or more identifiers corresponding to the mold. The pre-fabricated attachment further includes a handling component configured to be secured by a robot or person to transport the mold and the pre-fabricated attachment during production of the orthodontic aligner.

摘要: In an embodiment, a method of manufacturing customized ceramic labial/lingual orthodontic brackets by additive manufacturing may comprise measuring dentition data of a profile of teeth of a patient, based on the dentition data, creating a three dimensional computer-assisted design (3D CAD) model of the patient's teeth, and saving the 3D CAD model, designing a virtual 3D CAD bracket structure model for a single labial or lingual bracket structure based upon said 3D CAD model, importing data related to the 3D CAD bracket structure model into an additive manufacturing machine, and directly producing the bracket with the additive manufacturing machine by layer manufacturing from an inorganic material including at least one of a ceramic, a polymer-derived ceramic, and a polymer-derived metal.

摘要: Methods and apparatuses for attaching one or more dental attachments to a dentition. Methods may include placing an attachment placement apparatus on the dentition such that contoured surfaces of the attachment placement apparatus are aligned with correspondingly shaped tooth surfaces of the dentition. A body of the attachment placement apparatus may position the dental attachment(s) against specified location(s) on one or more teeth of the dentition. The dental attachment(s) may be coupled to supports that extend from the body. The supports may include breakable regions configured to be broken to facilitate removal of a corresponding dental attachment from the body. The supports may position the dental attachment(s) within corresponding aperture(s) of the attachment placement apparatus. The dental attachment(s) may be secured at the specified location(s) on the teeth.
