Abstract: A crate has an arrangement of fastening holes for mounting crate components, as well as various mounts and accessories to the outer and inner surface of the crate. The fastening holes are blind holes that do not breach, penetrate or pass-through panels defining the crate so that the crate remains watertight or sealed or leakproof. The fastening holes may be arranged to provide points of intersection for rules or guides that define a grid to aid in mounting components, mounts and accessories at desired locations. Outer fastening holes are provided in a repeating pattern and superimposed on inner fastening holes. The fastening holes provide for ease of customization without the need for drilling.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to a universal holder that comprises at least one receptacle. The receptacle may be configured to receive a variety of items, including a fishing rod, an umbrella, a flashlight, and a beverage canister, among other items. The at least one receptacle is connected to at least one articulating rod via a ball and socket joint to allow the at least one receptacle to rotate. The at least one articulating rod is also connected to at least one clamp. The clamp may be connected to any structure, such as a chair or railing, and the clamp tension can be adjusted by a threaded rod with a handle. Other attachments may be affixed to the universal holder, such as a cell phone holder or magnetic tackle box via various fastener mechanisms, such as a screw, bolt, magnet, quick-detach clips, snaps, and clips.

Abstract: A fishing pole caddy includes two or more risers arranged in parallel and multiple semicylindrical trays mounted perpendicular to the risers. The risers each have a first and a second attachment side and a base plate at one end from which a male coupling member extends to vertically attach the risers to a gunnel of a boat. The trays bear a fishing pole in a horizontal position. A customizable caddy includes a framework to which about four to sixteen adjustable length tubular housings are removably mounted. The framework includes a first and a second base plate with vertically extending risers. Each housing is perpendicular to the risers and has a longitudinal gap for a horizontally oriented fishing pole. Each housing extends from beneath the pole and rises to a longitudinal lip aligned with an upper portion of the pole. The caddy allows tangle-free storage and transport of fishing poles.

Abstract: A fishing rod holder for holding a fishing rod. A base for the rod holder has a mounting interface. At least one forward pivot arm is pivotally connected to the base. At least one rear pivot arm is pivotally connected to the base. A forward rod support is connected to each forward pivot arm and a rear rod securing device is connected to each rear pivot arm. In a preferred embodiment the forward rod support includes two vertical bent prongs with each bent prong having locking indentions. A fishing line travel slot is also included to allow for free travel of the fishing line. Also, in a preferred embodiment the rear rod securing device includes a lower stationary arm rigidly connected to the rear pivot arm, an upper pivot arm pivotally connected to the lower stationary arm and a handle receiving indention. When securing the fishing rod, the fishing rod is compressed between the upper pivot arm and lower stationary arm and rests in the handle receiving indention.

Abstract: A system comprises a rod holder, an input device, a driving device, and a controller. The rod holder holds one or more fishing rods. The driving device is coupled to drive the rod holder. The controller controls the driving device to move the rod holder based on stored rod movement information, based on a random generated movement sequence, or based on real time user input. In operation, the input device receives rod movement information that indicates at least one characteristic of rod movement, including position, timing, direction, angle, or speed. During recording of a jigging sequence, the controller stores rod movement information as stored rod movement information. During replaying of a jigging sequence, the controller controls the rod holder based on the stored rod movement information. The sequence is repeated until the user stops the replaying. The system is optionally controlled to perform a random jigging sequence.
