In one embodiment, an enclosure includes a first wall, a first environmental control unit, and a first door. The first door is configured to have a first closed position allowing in-service operation of the first environmental control unit for an internal space of the enclosure.

The backbone assembly includes a spine member having an extruded construction. The spine member includes one or more channels extending substantially an entire length thereof to facilitate easy attachment, removal and/or repositioning of a structure relative to the spine member. The cable manager optionally includes an accessory rod, a half-spool assembly, a cable finger accessory, a strap/buckle accessory, and/or a door assembly having an interference-free hinge set.

摘要: A method of installing a cable finger accessory in a cable manager includes: positioning a first semi-arcuate clamp section against a section of an extruded support member of the cable manager; positioning a second semi-arcuate clamp section, which is hingedly connected to the first semi-arcuate clamp section, against an opposite side of the section of the extruded support member such that, together, the first and second semi-arcuate generally surround the section of the extruded support member; and fastening a clamp mechanism connected to a distal end of the first semi-arcuate clamp section and adapted to secure the distal end of the first semi-arcuate clamp section against a distal end of the second semi-arcuate clamp section such that the first and second semi-arcuate clamp sections are secured against the section of the extruded support member. The cable finger extends outwardly from at least one of the first and second semi-arcuate clamp sections.

摘要: A method of adapting an electronic equipment structure for cable management, the method comprising: providing a cable manager having one or more cable finger units extending from a frame, the frame including at least one spine member having an extruded construction and one or more ledges that extend along a length thereof; providing an accessory rod assembly having a base member and an accessory rod, wherein the base member includes a front-facing socket, a rear-facing hook, and a rotatable knob having a threaded end received within a threaded portion at a side of the base member, and wherein the accessory rod has an extruded construction and a generally uniform, at least partially cylindrical, cross-sectional shape; positioning the rear-facing hook of the base member against one side of the one or more ledges of the at least one spine member; rotating the rotatable knob such that the threaded end is wound within the threaded portion of the base member and bears on an opposite side of the one or more ledges of the at least one spine member, thereby clamping the at least one spine member between the rear-facing hook and the rotatable knob; and positioning a proximal end of the accessory rod within the front-facing socket of the base member such that the accessory rod extends therefrom into a cable management space.

摘要: Adapters for mounting patch panels to data center racks enable the patch panels to be repositioned with respect to the racks in a rotatable or pivotable manner. A patch panel mounted to an adapter has a jack or port on one side of the adapter, and a jack or port on another side of the adapter. With the adapter aligned at an obtuse angle with respect to a front edge of a rack, a component may be inserted into the rack, or removed from the rack. Subsequently, the adapter aligned at an acute angle, or any other angle, with respect to the front edge of the rack. Mounting patch panels to the adapters enables the patch panels to be maintained outside of the rack, and increases a number of components that may be installed within the rack, or space or volume that may e occupied by components within the rack.

摘要: Example implementations relate to a computing system having a chassis and a front panel pivotably coupled to the chassis via a pair of retention brackets. In some examples, the chassis has a pair of frames that is disposed spaced apart and in parallel to each other. Further, each retention bracket of the pair of brackets is movably coupled to a respective frame of the pair of frames. The front panel is releasably engaged to the pair of frames and pivotably coupled to the pair of retention brackets such that the front panel is movable independently relative to the chassis. During installation and maintenance of the computing system, the front panel is movable linearly along a radial direction relative to the pair of frames and rotatable independently relative to the pair of retention brackets so as to provide clearance for accessing interiors of the chassis.

摘要: A laminate curtain can suppress electromagnetic radiation leakage from an electronic appliance, as well as assist in managing cables interconnected to the electronic appliance. More specifically, a laminate curtain can include a conductive elastomer panel that absorbs spurious electromagnetic radiation generated by the electronic appliance, a conductive adhesive film disposed along one side of the conductive elastomer panel, and a conductive support frame affixed to the conductive adhesive film. The laminate curtain can be installed within a mounting frame, which secures the laminate curtain to the electronic appliance. Electromagnetic radiation that is absorbed by the conductive elastomer panel can travel to the electronic appliance via the conductive adhesive film, the conductive support frame, and the mounting frame. Thus, the conductive elastomer panel can be used to form a ground plane that catches and shunts the spurious electromagnetic radiation to the electronic appliance, which is grounded.
