摘要: A method of reading a plurality of transponders 14.1 to 14.n forming part of an electronic radio frequency identification system 10 comprises the steps of prompting the transponders at 38 to transmit preambles 30 only of respective response digital sequences to a reader 12. The reader then locks onto the preamble 30 transmitted by one of the transponders and immediately causes a mute signal 38 to be broadcast to mute all of the transponders not yet transmitting. The reader then transmits during a first time window 42 a first command 40 to cause the one transponder to transmit a remainder of the sequence. Having received and read the remainder, the reader transmits a second command 44 during a second time window 46 to cause the one transponder to switch to a sleep mode wherein the one transponder no longer transmits any part of the sequence, and to unmute the muted transponders.

摘要: A remote control system and method therefor is disclosed that includes a control station coupled by a two-wire line to a base station having a transmitter for providing simplex radio communications to mobile radios. The control station utilizes digital pulsed DC signalling to select a radio channel of the base-station transmitter for transmission of each message. In response to activation of a transmission switch, the control station applies a DC voltage to the two-wire line and thereafter applies a command pulse train having a predetermined number of pulses corresponding to the selected radio channel. The base station is responsive to the DC voltage on the two-wire line for receiving the command pulse train. The pulses in the received command pulse train are totalized, and the base station transmits the message on the radio channel corresponding to the totalized number of pulses.

摘要: A selective ringing apparatus for a multiextension telephone system on a common carrier drop either as a point to point or a part line system. Seizure of the apparatus by a central control locks and conditions the same to receive a sequence of two dial digit pulse trains for ringing a selected extension. The first pulse train is directed into a selector having a distributor gate for each group of dial pulses which may occur in the first dial digit. The second pulse train is directed into one of a group of selectors, a selector for each distributor gate, and each has a distributor gate for each group of dial pulses which may occur in the second dial digit. Locking circuits select and hold these selectors to permit the ringing apparatus to ring a selected telephone extension. The apparatus can also be locked out if a local telephone seizes the line. Various other features include the use of wire line arrangements to selectively ring remotely located telephone extensions and a complimentary bridging board for use when the extensions are arranged as a party line circuit to permit selective dialing by a local extension to either the remote central control panel or to another extension within the system.
