    摘要: A storage unit includes a support bar for hanging items and an RFID antenna provided within a predefined distance of the support bar. When the items hanging from the support bar are adorned with RFID tags, and the RFID antenna emits electromagnetic fields in a direction of the support bar, RFID signals identifying the items are transmitted from the RFID tags to the RFID antenna, thereby enabling a placement or a removal of an item to be automatically registered, or an accounting of the available items to be automatically performed. The RFID antenna may be a portion of a transmission line that uses shields and/or dielectric materials to shape the electromagnetic fields toward a predefined direction, and the locations of items bearing RFID tags on the support bar may be determined by varying the phase of the emitted radiofrequency and determining strengths of RFID signals when the electromagnetic fields are emitted at varying phases.

    摘要: A method and an identification system used for communicating between a reader and a plurality of transponders are disclosed. The reader has a transmitter for transmitting a signal and each transponder includes a receiver for receiving the reader signal and a transmitter for generating a transponder signal. When the reader recognizes a transponder signal from one of the transponders it immediately issues a mute instruction, muting all other active transponders and passing control to the said transponder, without the need for a specifically timed acknowledgement to the said controlling transponder. The reader may issue a single disable/wakeup instruction which disables the controlling transponder returning control to the reader and reactivated all muted (but not disabled) transponders.

The processing module interprets a presentation request and time-slotted markers received on the communication interface, selects several applications or application groups corresponding to the presentation request, and transmits the wireless slave device identifier distinctive for each application or application group selected in the distinctive time slot in response to the presentation request. The slave device is thus enabled to indicate several application groups in response to a single presentation request.

    摘要: A label anti-collision method is disclosed, which is applied in a radio frequency identification system including a reader and labels. When the labels enter into an arbitration process, the reader sends the predetermined number of labels to the labels; the reader sends start counting instruction; after a label receives the start counting instruction, the label initializes its own information, and according to the predetermined number of the labels, selects a random number as an initial value of a counter and enters into the arbitration process. A label anti-collision system is also disclosed. With the method and the system, all the labels are hashed at the beginning of arbitrating with the Binary Tree method so as to reduce the probability of the collisions and improve the arbitration efficiency.

    摘要: The set T of all categories in a population of RFID tags is estimated within a specified error bound. For each of one or more frames, a reader broadcasts a probability p, a multiplicity d, a frame size M, and a seed value R to the present tags. A deterministic algorithm on each tag, and known to the reader, calculates (i) whether the tag will transmit in this frame, and, if so, (ii) in which slots the tag will transmit a single “1.” When the tags have responded, the reader calculates set T by initially assuming that all possible categories are in set T and then eliminating those categories that would have transmitted in those slots in which no tag transmitted. Alternatively, the reader initially assumes that set T is empty, and adds those categories that would have transmitted in those slots in which one or more tags did transmit.
