    摘要: A photovoltaic module-mounted AC inverter circuit uses one or more integrated circuits, several switches, solid dielectric capacitors for filtering and energy storage, inductors for power conversion and ancillary components to support the above elements in operation. The integrated circuit includes all monitoring, control, and communications circuitry needed to operate the inverter. The integrated circuit controls the switches in both an input boost converter and a single-phase or multi-phase output buck converter. The integrated circuit also monitors all power processing voltages and currents of the inverter and can take appropriate action to limit power dissipation in the inverter, maximize the available power from the associated PV module and shut down the inverter output if the grid conditions so warrant. The integrated circuit implements power line communications by monitoring the AC wiring for signals and generating communications signals via the same pulse-width modulation system used to generate the AC power.

Filtering of the signal may be achieved via a circuit for passing data sidebands of infrared signals. The circuit may include a band pass filter with a low value of Q operable to filter out a first type of interference signal from a signal, a plurality of mixers operable to receive the signal from the band pass filter, wherein the plurality of mixers down converts the signal to baseband signals, and a plurality of low pass filters operable to receive the baseband signals from the plurality of mixers, wherein the plurality of low pass filters rejects a second type of interference.

    摘要: Shuttering eyewear (or shutter glasses) may be used to enable stereoscopic 3D and to provide different images to two viewers using a single display, known as Dual View. The shuttering eyewear may utilize charge recovery circuits. The charge recovery circuits may achieve high charge recovery efficiencies on the order of 80 to 90 percent resulting in a dramatic reduction in power supply battery operating current and a resulting increase in operating time. The charge recovery circuits may utilize switch mode boost conversion to recover most of the charge from a shutter that is being closed to one that is to be opened. Further, a charge recovery method for utilizing energy stored on a capacitive storage device may include closing a first active shutter, moving charge to a converter in buck mode to a capacitor, and pulling charge from the capacitor to open a second shutter.

    摘要: A low channel length organic field-effect transistor can be produced in high volume and at low cost. The transistor structure includes successively deposited patterned layers of a first conductor layer acting as a source terminal, a first dielectric layer, a second conductor layer acting as a drain terminal, a semiconductor layer, a second dielectric layer, and a third conductor layer acting as the gate terminal. In this structure, the transistor is formed on the edge of the first dielectric between the first conductor layer and the second conductor layer. The second conductor layer is deposited on the raised surfaces formed by the dielectric such that conductive ink does not flow into the trough between the dielectric raised surfaces. This is accomplished by coating a flat or rotary print plate with the conductive ink, and applying the appropriate pressure to deposit the materials only on the raised surfaces of the dielectric. The second metal is automatically aligned to the layer beneath it. Due to this self-alignment and the short channel formed by the thickness of the dielectric material, a high-performance FET is produced without the requirement of high-resolution lithography equipment.
