摘要: Eyewear including a sensor integrated into frame of eyewear. In one example, the sensor comprises a strain gauge, such as a metallic foil gauge, that is configured to sense and measure distortion of the frame when worn by a user and under different force profiles, by measuring a strain in the frame when bent. The measured strain by strain gauge is sensed by a processor, and the processor performs dynamic calibration of image processing based on the measured strain. The distortion measured by the strain gauge is used by the processor to correct calibration of the cameras, and the displays.

摘要: The disclosure describes aspects of a display processing circuitry. In an aspect, one or more displays that support multiple views include one or more arrays of pixels, one or more backplanes, and a processing circuitry configured to receive one or more data streams, control processing of the data streams based on policies from which to select a mode of operation, each mode of operation defining which rays of light the arrays of pixels in the displays are to contribute to generate a particular view or views and the tasks to be performed by the processing circuitry to modify the data streams accordingly. The processing circuitry further provides signaling representative of the modified data streams to the arrays of pixels through a circuit configuration of the backplanes for the arrays of pixels to contribute the rays that will to generate the particular view or views. A corresponding method is also described.

摘要: A calibration platform may display, via an optical see-through head-mounted display (OST-HMD), a virtual image having at least one feature. The calibration platform may determine, based on information relating to a gaze of a user wearing the OST-HMD, that the user performed a voluntary eye blink to indicate that the at least one feature of the virtual image appears to the user to be aligned with at least one point on the three-dimensional real-world object. The calibration platform may record an alignment measurement based on a position of the at least one point on the three-dimensional real-world object in a real-world coordinate system based on a time when the user performed the voluntary eye blink. Accordingly, the alignment measurement may be used to generate a function providing a mapping between three-dimensional points in the real-world coordinate system and corresponding points in a display space of the OST-HMD.

摘要: A method to determine a binocular alignment includes measuring a disassociated phoria of a patient at a first simulated distance by presenting fusible images including targets with a first parallax corresponding to the first simulated distance, using a headset stereo display at a screen distance; presenting non-fusible images by presenting the target for a first eye with the first parallax and presenting a disassociated targetless image for a second eye, and measuring the disassociated phoria in response to the presenting of non-fusible images, using an eye tracker of the headset; and determining a vergence of the patient at the first simulated distance by presenting fusible images for the first and second eyes with the first parallax, corrected with the measured disassociated phoria; measuring an associated phoria in response to the presenting of fusible images; and determining the vergence as a combination of the disassociated phoria and the associated phoria.
