    摘要: A method for processing a digital audio broadcast signal includes: separating an analog audio portion and a digital audio portion of the digital audio broadcast signal; determining the loudness of the analog audio portion and the digital audio portion over a first short time interval; using the loudness of the analog and digital audio portions to calculate a short term average gain; determining a long term average gain; converting one of the long term average gain or the short term average gain to dB; if an output has been blended to digital, adjusting a digital gain parameter by a preselected increment to produce a digital gain parameter; if an output has not been blended to digital, setting the digital gain parameter to the short term average gain; providing the digital gain parameter to an audio processor; and repeating the above steps using a second short time interval.

    摘要: In an audio network system constructed from a main node and a plurality of satellite nodes each having a plurality of ports, the main node generates and transmits a main packet including audio signals of a plurality of channels. Each satellite node selects one of the plurality of ports in turn, and confirms whether the main packet arrives at the selected port every predetermined period or not. When the main packet arrives at the selected port every predetermined period, the main packet is received via the port by continuing selection of the port. In the case where reception of the main packet is lost, one is selected from the plurality of ports in turn, the operation to confirm arrival of the main packet is restarted, and another port at which the main packet arrives at the present stage is automatically found.

    摘要: The invention discloses a decoding apparatus for decoding an analog audio signal. The decoding apparatus includes an RF tuner, an analog to digital (A/D) converter, a digital down converter, and a programmable digital signal processor (DSP). The RF tuner is used for receiving the analog audio signal and for providing an analog sound intercarrier frequency (SIF) signal indicative thereof. The analog to digital (A/D) converter is used for sampling the analog SIF signal and for converting the signal into a digital SIF signal. The digital down converter is used for down converting the digital SIF signal to generate a baseband signal. The programmable digital signal processor (DSP) is used for demodulating the baseband signal according to a demodulation procedure of a predetermined standard and decoding the demodulated baseband signal to output an output signal in compliance with a decoding procedure of the predetermined standard.

The demodulating system is intended to eliminate disturbing signals included in the composite signal and buzzing, and to obviate the malfunction of the MPX decoder due to the disturbing signal having the same frequency as that of the pilot signal.

    摘要: An AM stereo demodulator with which the transition from the stereo receiving mode to the monaural receiving mode upon a reduction in the field strength of the received signal is made gradual so as to eliminate an abrupt change in the sound quality. For stereo demodulation, a pair of reference signals are generated which are .pi./2 different in phase for stereo reception. As the field strength of the received signal approaches the level where a phase-locked loop in the demodulator would become unlocked from the carrier of the received signal, the phase difference between the two reference signals is gradually reduced to .pi./4.

    摘要: An amplitude limiter for an AM broadcast transmitter to minimize energy in the broadcasted signal outside an allocated broadcast bandwidth. The secondary and higher order spectra (i.e. second and higher harmonics) of a broadcasted AM stereophonic signal are minimized by limiting the amplitude of the audio signal, prior to modulation onto the carrier, within a predetermined portion of the audio frequency range. This is achieved by controlling the gain of the audio signals in that predetermined portion as a function of the level of a submodulation component also within that predetermined portion of the audio frequency range.
