    摘要: A tachometer is coupled to the rotor of an A.C. motor and generates an output voltage proportional to the rotor's speed. A VELOCITY COMMAND voltage is generated having an amplitude which specifies a desired rotor speed. The tachometer voltage is subtracted from the VELOCITY COMMAND voltage to produce a VELOCITY ERROR voltage. The output of a D.C. power source is chopped at a fixed frequency and variable pulse width, the pulse width being proportional at any time to the amplitude of the VELOCITY ERROR voltage. The chopped D.C. voltage is filtered to provide a variable D.C. voltage having an amplitude which is proportional to the amplitude of the VELOCITY ERROR voltage. The variable D.C. voltage is applied to an inverter which changes it into an A.C. voltage. The A.C. voltage is applied to the stator windings of the motor to drive the rotor thereof. The frequency of the A.C. voltage is variable and is proportional, at rotor speeds above 150 RPM, to the amplitude of the velocity command voltage. At rotor speeds below 150 RPM, the frequency of the A.C. voltage is held fixed at approximately 28 Hz. The amplitude of the A.C. voltage is proportional to the VELOCITY ERROR voltage at all speeds. The frequency of the A.C. voltage is determined by an oscillator which drives a ring counter whose counting direction is controlled by a direction flip-flop. The state of the direction flip-flop is changed whenever the polarity of the VELOCITY ERROR voltage changes so that deceleration of the motor always occurs in a plugging mode.

    摘要: The present invention provides an adaptively modulated multi-state inverter system, comprising: a split capacitor, four bridge arms and an isolation switch group, on each of the four bridge arms a pair of complementary power switch groups is arranged; the isolation switch group comprises four fuses and six bidirectional thyristors. The output branches of the first bridge arm, the second bridge arm and the third bridge arm are respectively connected in series with a fuse to output a three-phase voltage, and at three-phase output voltage side two shared auxiliary branches are arranged, one auxiliary branch starts from the fourth bridge arm output branch on which a fuse is connected in series and is then connected to the output terminal of the three-phase voltage via three bidirectional thyristors. The other auxiliary branch starts from the DC side feed branch from the midpoint of the split capacitor, and is connected with the output terminal of the three-phase voltage via three bidirectional thyristors respectively. The invention also provides a modulating method of the multi-state inverter system. The use of the adaptive modulating technology enables the multi-state inverter to have the functions of overcurrent protection, isolation of faulty bridge arms and fault-tolerant control on any single and double bridges.

    摘要: Sinusoidal excitation currents are supplied to the three terminals of a "wye" or "delta" connected three phase motor by an improved multiphase motor energizing drive system. For each terminal associated with a different phase, an individual feedback signal representing the current flowing into that respective terminal is sensed and subtracted from its corresponding controllable sine wave reference command to produce a current error signal for each terminal. The error signal for each of these currents is preferably converted to a two-state signal by means of an associated pulse width modulator. The modulator outputs are used to control power semiconductor switches which connect the corresponding motor terminal to either the positive or negative dc voltage. In the preferred system, for one of the terminals, the associated current feedback loop and reference command are omitted, and the associated pulse width modulator is driven by the inverted sum of the error signals from the other two phases. The result is inherently balanced multiphase excitation currents into the motor terminals.

    摘要: A method and circuit arrangement for controlling the motor current in an electric motor, in particular a stepper motor, by a chopper method is provided. In the method/circuit arrangement, the motor is operated with a coil current that follows a target coil current substantially more accurately at least at the zero crossing of the coil current. The method/circuit arrangement provides a good symmetry of the sinusoidal wave shape of the coil current with respect to the zero crossing of the coil current. The method is achieved in particular by the active control of the coil current both in the direction of a predefined target coil current and opposite the direction of the predefined target coil current with respect to upper or lower desired current values and a lowering or increasing of the upper or lower desired current values.

    摘要: System and method for high-speed, high-accuracy control of a multiphase motor in a vehicle having a DC power supply in response to a motor command signal, the system being a substantially digital implementation. The system includes programmable digital logic for generating a digital desired phase current signal for a particular motor phase. A signal indicative of the actual current in the particular motor phase is generated. The system includes comparators for comparing the desired phase current signal with the actual phase current signal and generating a digital error signal based on the difference between the desired and actual phase current signals. Additionally, the system includes an inverter, including a plurality of switches, for generating the actual current in the particular motor phase from the DC power supply. Based on the digital error signal, the digital logic generates a digital switch state output signal to control the operating state of the inverter. The system also preferably includes a sensor for providing a motor position feedback signal to the programmable digital logic.
