Provided is a motor system adapted for modern society, which does not use a rare-earth magnet, improves a torque weight ratio by approximately one digit in comparison with the conventional motor, and has transfer efficiency of 90% between electric energy and rotational energy. A stator (1) has a dual-ring tooth-groove iron core, which has magnetic pole surface on both side surfaces and receives coils of basically two-phase structure divided to be multiplexed, with divided coils being interconnected. A rotor (2) is formed to be capable of rotating while holding eight sets of attraction poles having magnetic pole surfaces on both ends, with each set of attraction poles forming four air-gap-facing surfaces by positioning the dual-ring tooth-groove iron core between the attraction poles so that both side surfaces of the dual-ring tooth-groove iron core face the attraction poles via an air gap (6). Magnetic energy accompanying coil switching can be reduced to one part per dozens through the dual effect of reduction owing to coil division and dispersion owing to interconnection. The torque weight ratio can be improved approximately by one digit through synergistic effect of torque increase owing to integration of magnetomotive forces by interconnection, torque increase owing to composite structure of the attraction poles, and weight reduction of the iron core.

The rotor bars can be copper rotor bars. In certain aspects, the shim may be about one fourth to about one eighth of a thickness of the rotor bar. Also disclosed are electric motors with shims lining the rotor bars and functioning as secondary rotor bars.

The present invention generally relates to the use of electrical charge storage devices in the rotors of induction machines. Optimal induction machine rotor electrical field requirements increase with rotational velocity and inversely to frequency. Pseudocapacitance and other inverse frequency capacitance adjustment methods are employed to provide for that need and thereby improve induction machine rotor performance parameters. Optimization of electrical reactance is the foundation for improvements in power transfer, torque, efficiency, stability, thermodynamics, vibration, thermodynamics and bearing life in rotational induction machines. LC rotor methods and designs are outlined herein to achieve these objectives.

An electroconductive material has at least one portion in which the electrical resistance varies continuously along a gradient. Accordingly, since the material is not formed by directly bonding different elements, it does not have a weak joint portion. Further, since other material characteristics besides electrical resistance also vary along a gradient, for instance, when the material is used at a high or low temperature, a large thermal stress does not generate at an interface between different elements of the material due to a difference of thermal expansion coefficients of such elements. A motor uses the above electroconductive material as a conductor provided in a plural slots. Consequently, starting characteristics of the motor are improved due to the skin effect, and internal stress of the motor due to the thermal expansion of the conductor is decreased. Moreover, the reliability of the motor is improved.

A rotor lamination for use in a dynamo-electric machine of the kind having a stacked laminated rotor, is formed of a flat circular plate of ferromagnetic material having a number of equally circumferentially spaced closed slots. Each of the slots is substantially V shaped at an upper slot region near the circumference of the plate, and is symmetrical about a radial center line. Each leg of the V forms an angle of about 30 degrees with respect to a line drawn perpendicular to the radial center line of the slot.
