    Abstract: A generator for generating energy is described. The generator includes a first shielding disk having alternating first disk regions of magnetic shielding and non-shielding. One or more conductive wires are located axially below the first shielding disk. Each conductive wire has one end that crosses through a first disk region of magnetic shielding. The generator also includes a first magnet located axially above the first shielding disk such that a first pole is of the first magnet is directed towards the first shielding disk and the conductive wire and a second magnet located axially above the first shielding disk such that a second pole is of the second magnet is directed towards the first shielding disk. The second pole is opposite the first pole of the first magnet. Methods of using the generator are also described.

    Abstract: A stator for a vehicle includes a body defining a central bore that is adapted to receive a rotor. The stator also includes a plurality of electrical conductors radially disposed on the body. Each of respective electrical conduction of the plurality of electrical conductors includes a corresponding magnetic core wound in a conductive wire. The stator also includes a wired frame that includes one or more conductive wires. Each of the one or more conductive wires includes a first end and a second end opposite the first end. Each respective first end of the one or more conductive wires is connected to corresponding terminals of the stator. Each respective second end of the one or more conductive wires is bent at an angle and adapted to mate with a controller.

    Abstract: A stator for an electric machine includes a stator core with a multi-phase winding arranged on the stator core. The stator core has a plurality of slots formed therein and defines a first axial end and a second axial end. The multi-phase winding includes multiple parallel paths for each winding phase, each parallel path completing multiple revolutions around the stator core, and each parallel path comprising a series of slot segments arranged in layers of the plurality of slots and end turns alternately connecting consecutive slot segments on the first axial end and the second axial end. A pitch of the end turns connecting the slot segments for at least one parallel path alternates between a first pitch on the first axial end and a second pitch on the second axial end, the second pitch being different from the first pitch.

    Abstract: A single phase induction motor includes a stator core having a stator yoke and a plurality of teeth extending toward a central opening. The plurality of teeth are spaced apart from one another and define multiple slots between the teeth for receiving windings of the single phase induction motor. The stator core includes a high permeability low coreloss (HPLC) steel having a relative permeability of greater than or equal to 3000 at 1.5 Tesla and 60 Hertz, and a coreloss of less than or equal to 1.75 watts/lb at 1.5 Tesla and 60 Hertz. The motor also includes multiple windings located within the plurality of slots and wrapped around the plurality of teeth of the stator core. Each of the multiple windings include aluminum wire. The motor further includes a rotor body located concentrically within the stator core and including an external surface that faces the stator core.
