摘要: A wiring module that is to be attached to a unit cell group in which a plurality of unit cells that each have positive and negative electrode terminals are arranged, including a plurality of basic units arranged in a direction in which the unit cells are arranged. Each of the plurality of basic units includes: a bus bar configured to electrically connect the electrode terminals of two adjacent unit cells to each other; an electrical wire that is to be electrically connected to the unit cells to detect a state of the unit cell group; a fuse configured to electrically connect the bus bar and the electrical wire to each other, and prevent an overcurrent; and a housing provided with a fuse opening into which the fuse is inserted, and a bus bar opening into which the bus bar is inserted. The fuse opening opens in a direction in which the bus bar extends.

摘要: A capacitor assembly has series-connected capacitor element groups, each with a plurality of capacitor elements connected in parallel. The capacitor elements are divided into a first sub-set and a second sub-set. The capacitor elements of the first sub-set have a fuse while those of the second sub-set do not have a fuse. Extended operation is achieved even in the event of individual malfunctioning capacitor elements by using capacitor elements with fuses to separate the corresponding capacitor element in the event of a failure without generating a substantial change in the capacitance of the entire capacitor assembly. In order to prevent an avalanche effect in which the entire capacitor element group is separated, a sub-set of the capacitor elements do not have a fuse, so that a capacitor element is always provided which generates a bridge of the respective capacitor element group in the event of a failure.

摘要: A battery protection circuit has two input nodes and two output nodes. The input nodes are connected to a positive supply line and a negative or ground line respectively, and the two output nodes are connected to a positive side of a load and a negative or ground return side of the load. The circuit includes a solid state switch which is oriented such that when the switch is open current cannot flow from the battery through the load. At least one capacitor is connected in series with a diode between the two input nodes of the circuit to smooth out any negative transient voltages present at the positive input node of the circuit. The capacitor includes a polarized capacitor and the diode is oriented to protect the capacitor during normal use when a positive voltage is present at the input node that is connected to the positive supply line.

摘要: A battery includes an electrode body including a positive electrode body and a negative electrode body and an exterior body in which the electrode body is housed. The exterior body includes a first container formed in a bottomed cylindrical shape and including a first circumferential wall section, a second container formed in a bottomed cylindrical shape and including a second circumferential wall section surrounding the first circumferential wall section, the second container housing the electrode body between the second container and the first container, and a fusing member interposed between the first circumferential wall section and the second circumferential wall section and fused to the first circumferential wall section and the second circumferential wall section.
