摘要： A method, apparatus and computer program product for three-dimensional viewing of images is presented. Embodiments of the invention provide a process for combining slices generated by medical imaging devices to create a volume of interest and then present this volume in a three-dimensional representation to a head display unit so that the user can obtain a holistic view of the patient. Key image processing techniques are applied which enable the user to rotate and view the volume of interest from alternative viewpoints; to enable tissue subtraction to facilitate unobstructed viewing of a region of interest; to identify differing tissues with color schematics; to zoom in for optimal viewing; and to view a moving image of a volume of interest.

摘要： A display system is described in which left to right or right to left mode may be displayed without character inversion. A read/write store is added between a display buffer and a CRT. This store stores one complete scan line of character slice bytes in sequence. The bytes may be read out either in a normal sequence or in a reversed sequence for display. As bytes are read in parallel, the orientation of individual characters is unchanged.One line of control data or selected lines may always be displayed in left to right mode, while the remainder of the display is in right to left mode.

摘要： The disclosure relates to a television titling apparatus which is substantially the same as a conventional television titling apparatus designed for left-to-right character presentation, but includes a novel subsystem and method which can be utilized to effect display of characters from right-to-left for languages which so require. Reverse image stroke representations are stored in a stroke generator. An auxiliary storage is provided for storing a scanline of stroke bits from the stroke generator. Scanlines of stroke bits are read out of the auxiliary storage in reverse order from the order in which they were read in; i.e., on a last-in-first-out basis. Preferably, the auxiliary storage includes first and second stores which are alternately operable to read in and read out successive scanlines of stroke bits so that one scanline of stroke bits is being read out while the next scanline of stroke bits is being read in.

摘要： An apparatus is described which permits a dual display on two pages one next to the other on a cathode ray tube. During the scanning of each line of n characters, the address of the character position k, where k is lower than n, is detected and in response to this detection, a signal is generated for stopping the counting of the character positions during a predetermined time. Thereafter, the address of the character position (k+1) is detected and in response to this second detection, an inhibit signal is produced for the duration of the stop signal for inhibiting the illumination of the spot on the CRT screen. Also the addresses of character positions o-k are converted into addresses of character positions n through (k+1) respectively in response to a select signal indicating the selection of one of the pages on the CRT screen.

摘要： The invention relates to a compact and portable interactive system for allowing person-to-person communication in a typed language format between individuals experiencing language barriers such as the hearing impaired and language impaired. According to the present invention, the sComm system includes a custom laptop configuration having a display screen and one keyboard on each side of the laptop; and data translations means for translating the original typed data from a first language to a second language. The display screen will further have a split configuration, i.e., a double screen, either top/bottom or left/right depicting chat boxes, each chat box dedicated to a user. The sComm system will be able to support multilingual text-based conversations. In particular, a user will be able to translate, using existing translating technology, the typed text into other languages including, but not limited to, English, Spanish, Chinese, German and French. As such, one chat box can display a text in a first language and the other chat box can display the same text but in a second language.

摘要： A digital control device is used with a character generator for producing text in a typescript having multiform characters, such as Arabic script. The character generator includes a character store with a base page section to store codes identifying the base body of the characters and at least one additional page section to store codes identifying special character forms. The control device is arranged to register and process the incoming character identification codes to produce a control signal having a first state to enable a final address code to be produced to address the base page section in the character store and having a second state to enable a final address code to be produced to address the additional page section in the character store.

The transparent display unit displays the first part in the first direction and the mirror flipped second part. The first part and the second part are included in the same content, the first part is set to maintain the first direction, and the second part is set to be mirror flipped based on the second direction.
