    Abstract: Embodiments herein describe a dripping system that displays an animation using different colored light sources. In one embodiment, the dripping system includes red, green, and blue light sources which can be activated individually or in combination to emit light that reflects off liquid droplets emitted by the dripping system. Controlling the timing of the light sources permits the dripping system to illuminate the water droplets at different locations along their path which generate the animations. In one embodiment, the dripping system changes animations or alters the animation in response to user interaction. For example, different user hand gestures may be mapped to different water droplet animations. An input/output (I/O) system detects the user interaction and changes the displayed animation.

    Abstract: A color changing display system is provided that includes a light source for producing different light colors, a controller for providing a smooth transition between the different light colors, and a body with a combined image comprising two or more differently colors images printed in a single layer and positioned on the body. Each of the different color images reacts with a respective color of the different light colors such that an appearance of the combined image changes gradually from a first display image having one particular shape into a second display image having a second particular shape in response to the different light colors interacting with the combined image to produce a moving, seemingly holographic effect. The combined image may be back-lit or front-lit.

    Abstract: A segmented direct volume display device includes a volume containing a medium, two mutually orthogonal matrices of light guns capable of providing light beams, each matrix outputting light at different wavelengths, a unit for generating images in the volume by selectively activating the light guns, an image being formed at the intersection of two beams, one from each of the two matrices, and a unit for displaying images in different colors in different segments of the volume. The segmented direct volume display device may further include, on display planes of the volume, a filter for blocking out light output from the light guns while allowing viewing of the image. The segmented direct volume display device may also include individual filters, external to the volume, for each segment. The individual filters block out light from images in other segments while allowing viewing of a generated image within a corresponding segment. The selective activation of the light guns may be in response to data from many different sources.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a rainbow image projector adapted to project a vivid rainbow image from a relatively small light source onto walls of a stage, a store, places for various parties, and like. Specifically, light rays emitted from the linear incandescent light source are converted by a cylindrical condenser lens into parallel light rays which are, in turn, obliquely incident on a triangular prism over whole area of its first refraction plane. Thus, it is possible to project a vivid rainbow image of a large curvature radius from the small light source of small power consumption and heat generation. A housing containing therein said linear light source, cylindrical condenser lens and prism and provided with a projection window is inclination-adjustably mounted an inclination adjustment screw on a support leg so that a direction in which the rainbow image is projected may be variable. Said housing further comprises a blower for cooling contained therein and has a rear cover for exchange of the light source so that a useful life of the light source may be prolonged and maintenance and/or checking thereof may be easily done.
