    摘要: A smoke producing method and device of the present disclosure produces a non-incendiary, organic-polymerization based, smoke-producing reaction. The method of generating smoke comprises initiating a frontal polymerization reaction by heating a composition comprising a monomer compound that exothermically polymerizes upon initiation with an initiator compound and an initiator compound that initiates polymerization of the monomer compound present at a mass concentration that is at least five percent of the mass concentration of the monomer compound. The polymerization of the monomer compound is exothermic, and in one embodiment the concentration of initiator compound is at least five percent of the concentration of monomer compound. The smoke mainly comprises thermal decomposition products of the initiator compound.

    摘要: An aerial smoke generator system includes a pilotless aircraft, an altimeter, a smoke dispensing container, a rotating impulse-smoke-dispenser, and a processor. The altimeter is mounted to the pilotless aircraft. The smoke dispensing container is connected to the pilotless aircraft and has a smoke-producing chemical under pressure and a nozzle valved to release smoke from the smoke dispensing container. The rotating impulse-smoke-dispenser connected to the nozzle so as to release smoke produced by the smoke dispensing container. The rotating impulse-smoke-dispenser has tubular arms extending radially outward and configured to eject smoke under pressure in a direction promoting rotation of the rotating impulse-smoke-dispenser. The processor is connected to the altimeter and the smoke dispensing container so as to initiate a release of smoke when the pilotless aircraft arrives at a designated height.

    摘要: An effect body is encapsulated in such a way that the encapsulation or casing supports the ignition behavior of the effect body or of the components. The effect body has a casing for accommodating the components of the effect body, which differ with regard to the chemical composition and the properties thereof.     摘要: A launched smoke grenade has a cartridge case having a hollow interior that receives a primer and a propellant, a projectile received by the cartridge case, and the projectile including a smoke generation component and an ignition component. The smoke generation component and the ignition component may be separated by a barrier prior to admission of the ignition component. The ignition component may burn through the barrier to ignite the smoke generation component. The smoke generation component may include hexachloroethane. The propellant may be black powder or smokeless powder.

    摘要: The two-payload decoy device has a square outer case, containing a manifold/delay body assembly, a round payload assembly, and a square payload assembly. The square outer case is closed with an end cap. The manifold/delay body assembly is attached to the round payload assembly, which rests against the square payload assembly. Firing a standard impulse cartridge ignites a booster pellet and delay element in the manifold/delay body assembly. Gases flow through openings in the manifold/delay body assembly and down the corner cavities between the round payload assembly and the square case, pushing the square piston against the square payload, which separates the end cap from the case and ejects the square payload. The delay element burns for a specific time, and then ignites a round payload expulsion charge, which creates gases that push the round piston against the round payload, which dislodges a retaining ring, and ejects the round payload.
