摘要: A Gatling-style platform has a control system to limit the number of ammunitions that can be fired a single or multiple times. The control system is operably coupled to an electronic motor that can be coupled to multi-barrels for rotating the multi-barrels and a delinker to feed the ammunition. The electronic firearm further includes an electronic rotary trigger that has multiple discrete intervals that correspond to the number of ammunition or rounds of ammunition to be fired, wherein the electronic rotary trigger can be rotated to any desired level from the multiple discrete intervals, the rotation of the electronic rotary trigger actuates the delinker and/or motor to start firing.

摘要: Firearm safing assemblies and firearms including the same are disclosed. In embodiments firearm safing assemblies include a safing sector with a track surface and a receiver door track. The receiver door track may couple to a receiver of a rotatable firearm, wherein the receiver includes a bolt track and at least a portion of the receiver extends coaxially about a first axis. The safing sector is configured to be at least partially disposed within the receiver door track and to move between a safe position and an armed position. In the safe position the track surface is out of alignment with and does not form part of the bolt track, whereas in the armed position it is aligned with and forms part of the bolt track.

摘要: A barrel assembly for a weapon, said barrel assembly including a barrel; a plurality of projectile assemblies axially disposed in end to end abutting relationship within said barrel for operative sealing engagement with the bore of the barrel, each projectile including a projectile head and an integral cylindrical spacer portion extending axially and rearwardly from said projectile head; discrete propellant charges accommodated within said cylindrical spacer portion for propelling respective projectile assemblies sequentially through the muzzle of the barrel; ignition means for igniting said discrete propellant charges; and control means for selectively and sequentially actuating the ignition means. In one form, each projectile assembly further includes an internal wedging surface, at or adjacent the trailing end of said cylindrical extension which accommodates a tapered nose part of a following projectile, for expanding said trailing end into enhanced sealing engagement with the barrel upon engagement of said wedging surface with said tapered nose part.

摘要: Described is a system (10) for protecting a target such as an armoured vehicle, a bunker or the like from missiles. The protective system (10) has a launching container (12) with at least one launching tube (36) for an associated fragmentation projectile (38), mounted adjustably on a base portion (14). A sensor arrangement (26, 28) is provided for detecting the target to be combatted and aligning the launching container (12) with the target to be combatted. A control device (32) for a drive arrangement (24) is connected together with the sensor arrangement (26, 28) by way of a signal processing device (30). The drive arrangement (24) serves for aligning the launching container (12) with respect to the base portion (14). The/each fragmentation projectile has a special fragmentation filling (40) and a fuse device (44) for controlling the time of detonation.

摘要: A plurality of magazines each receive an array of pyrotechnic devices. The magazines are latched to a fire control and support assembly which automatically engages the fire control circuit to each device of each magazine. The circuit ignites all devices of all the magazines in a given serial sequence. The system, under control of an operator, when turned off, may be restarted at the beginning of a selected sequence, at the point where the last device was ignited and continue the sequence or at selected different portions of devices. Different size devices can be ignited by one circuit using different magazines all coupled to one unit. Safety features also include delay ignition after startup and sounding an alarm before any device is ignited. A CPU is enabled by a fire command signal and disabled by internal programmed instructions. The CPU is periodically enabled in a device ignition cycle by external timing signals initiated by the CPU when enabled.

摘要: An electro-thermal gatling gun (12) includes a plurality of gun barrels (46) and a gun rotor (10) defining a plurality of channels (30). Each channel (30) guides a breechblock (32) between a rear position (50) and a breech position (52). Each said guide channel (30) is aligned with and rotatably fixed to one of the plurality of gun barrels (46). A cam guide (49) moves the breechblocks (32) reciprocally and in series from the rear position (50) to the breech position (52) as the gun rotor (10) rotates. An electro-thermal round (60) includes a projectile (62) and a casing (64) and is electrically connected to one of the breechblocks (32) when the breechblock (32) is in the breech position (52). A rotating electrical mechanism (16) provides an electrical connection between a high power electrical cable (22) and said one of said breechblocks (32) when said one of said breechblocks (32 ) is in said breech position (52) and maintains the electrical connection during gun rotation and until the projectile (62) exits the gun barrel (46).

摘要: Various systems and methods for leveraging legacy countermeasure dispensing systems (CMDSs). The legacy CMDSs are leveraged through the expansion of breechplates and magazines in a CMDS by expanding the amount of expendables carried by a CMDS while still maintaining the legacy sequencer and dispenser in a legacy military platform, such as an aircraft. In addition, various circuitry systems are included in a circuit card of the breechplate for duplicating and/or expanding the firing lines provided in a legacy CMDS.

An interchangeable barrel is coupled to the forward receiver forming a breech. In some embodiments, the firearm system includes a breech that includes a plurality of side-by-side bores of the barrel. Some embodiments include a magazine coupled to the receiver complex adjacent the feedport to simultaneously feed more than one dischargeable projectile into the feedport with a single charge block. In some embodiments, the charge block includes a plurality of chambers and a plurality of projectiles positioned within the plurality of chambers.
