    Abstract: A lighting system comprises a band-shaped base element extending along an axis; a plurality of first support elements connected to the base element and provided with fixing members to an external surface, for example a ceiling; and a plurality of lighting devices supported by the base element; the base element comprises a band body longitudinally elongated along the axis and made of a flexible polymeric material and which houses at least a pair of conductive metal wires, for example made of copper, extending parallel to each other and to the axis along the body; the body being foldable by hand about folding axes perpendicular to the axis.
