    摘要: A vehicle headlamp has a unit pivot control mechanism for laterally moving the luminous intensity distribution of a lamp unit by laterally pivoting the lamp unit according to the travel conditions of the vehicle, and a luminous intensity variable control mechanism for varying the luminous intensity distribution by moving a shade of the lamp unit according to the travel conditions of the vehicle. Beam emission can be carried out at emission angles with the luminous intensity distribution conforming to the travel conditions of the vehicle by properly combining beam emission control performed by the unit pivot control mechanism and the luminous intensity variable control mechanism. The result is improved visibility of a road surface ahead of the vehicle.

    摘要: A lamp chamber is defined by a translucent cover and a lamp body supporting a light source bulb. A translucent panel is provided within the lamp chamber. A front surface of the translucent panel is half mirror-treated. An upstanding wall portion extends in a fore-aft direction in the lamp body to surround the translucent panel. A plurality of quasi-reflector elements are formed in an inner surface of the upstanding wall portion. The half mirror portion is inclined at a predetermined angle with respect to the upstanding wall portion. When the lamp is off, a reflection of the quasi-reflector elements of the upstanding wall portion is seen in the half mirror portion.

    摘要: A flexible and ornamental vehicle light cover comprises a flexible piece of sheet material with a pressure sensitive adhesive layer applied to a back surface for bonding the sheet to a vehicle lens that surrounds one of the lamps e.g., an electric tail lamp of the vehicle. The sheet material has an outline depicting a design or symbol that can be seen by an observer whether the light is on or off. The sheet has the multiplicity of punched openings in it to enable light from the vehicle lamp to pass through the sheet for preventing an unacceptable reduction in the luminous flux provided by the vehicle lamp. The sheet is thus able to be applied to the vehicle lens over the lamp by pressing the sheet onto the lens so as to intercept and block no more than the predetermined fraction of the luminous flux impinging thereon while serving to decorate the vehicle.

    摘要: A signal lamp for a vehicle is composed of a plurality of LED lamps as a light source, a reflecting surface corresponding to the light-emitting surface of the signal lamp, a housing for accommodating the LED lamps and the reflecting surface, and an outer lens disposed in opposing relation to the reflecting surface. The LED lamps are arranged along the periphery of the light-emitting surface such that the illuminating direction thereof is toward the center of the reflecting surface. The reflecting surface is partitioned into segments corresponding in number to the LED lamps. Preferably, the reflecting surface has a circular configuration. The segments into which the reflecting surface is partitioned are arranged radially around the center of the reflecting surface. In this case, the LED lamps are arranged in an annular configuration along the periphery of the reflecting surface. As the LED lamps, there are used plural pairs of LED lamps, each pair of LED lamps being disposed in opposing relation to each other with the center axis of the reflecting surface interposed therebetween. In this case, the reflecting surface is composed of two types of reflecting portions being alternately arranged, one for reflecting a light beam from one of each pair of opposing LED lamps and the other for reflecting a light beam from the other of each pair of opposing LED lamps. A shade for blocking direct light beams from the LED lamps is provided adjacent the LED lamps.

    摘要: An elongated perimeter light is disclosed, which comprises a linear array of light sources (LEDs) that are electrically illuminated. The array of light sources is disposed within an elongated transparent tube, with the tube transmitting and dispersing the light from the array giving the appearance that said array of light sources is a continuous light source. The array of light sources is capable of being cut at intervals down its length to shorten it. The light sources that remain in the array continue to emit light and the tube can be cut to match the length of said array. The present invention also discloses systems for lighting structural features, with one system according to the present invention comprising a plurality of elongated perimeter lights. The perimeter lights are electrically coupled in a daisy chain with the electrical power at each of the perimeter lights being transmitted to the successive light. A mechanism is included for anchoring the plurality of perimeter lights to a structure to illuminate it. Each of the perimeter lights can be cut at intervals down its length while not interfering with its ability to transmit its electrical power to successive lights.

    摘要: A circuit board indicator comprises a plurality of lamps with cut and bent terminals, an outer plastic holder and an inner plastic holder. The outer plastic holder contains an accommodating chamber, which has a plurality of rounded holes on a lateral side thereof. The inner plastic holder has a plurality of positioning recesses and each of the positioning recesses has a guiding slot on topside thereof. The terminals of the lamps are guided by the guiding slot and inserted into corresponding positioning recesses. The inner plastic holder further has a plurality of clamping dents to clamp corresponding lamps. The inner plastic holder has barbs on two lateral sides thereof and corresponding to rectangular grooves on the outer plastic holder. The barbs are engaged into corresponding rectangular grooves when the inner plastic holder is assembled to the outer plastic holder.

    摘要: A light emitting diode light strip that uses a rigid hollow tube (20) sized to accommodate a printed circuit board (22) which has a positive and negative bus extending the full length of the board. One or more resistors (38) are in contact with the positive bus on one end and a series of light emitting diodes (44) on the other. The diodes are mounted through holes (34) in the board and the anode of the diode is in communication with a resistor while the cathode of the diode contacts an adjacent diode anode connecting them in linked series through traces on the bottom of the circuit board. The end cathode in each series, engages the negative bus forming a predetermined group of diodes electrically coupled to a single resistor on one end and the negative bus on the other. A pair of end caps (50) enclose the tube and an electrical cable (60) is connected through the caps to the busses on the circuit board. A power supply (64) is in contact, through the electrical cable, with the board providing low voltage direct current power through the busses to a predetermined group of light emitting diodes, for illumination of the area surrounding the light strip.
