    摘要: An arrangement for collision prevention is provided for an apparatus, in particular an x-ray examination apparatus, having components that can be moved by drive means. A collision is detected by way of detecting the speed of a relevant moving part and detecting the current and/or power supply to the drive means. Reference values for current and/or power supply at normal operation in dependence of the speed acquired by moving components are provided from a memory means and actually required current and/or power supplies are compared to said reference values. In addition, actual positions of components are detected and compared to computed expected positions of said components. A collision is detected when the required current and/or power supply exceeds a relevant reference value and the detected actual position deviates from the corresponding calculated expected position. As a consequence of a collision being detected, the moving component involved in a collision is detached from the drive means so as to avoid damage or injury as a cause of the collision. Apart from x-ray examination apparatus, also industrial robots which operate in circumstances where person may approach the apparatus to within the reach of moveable components are preferably fitted with an arrangement for collision protection as described above.

The peripheral surface of the shaft and a facing surface of the safety element are provided with mating devices that cooperate to prevent the shaft from rotating when a portion of the shaft is retained by said safety element due to the shaft rupturing. The device is particularly suitable for use with a shaft that winds up lifting straps for a raisable curtain or that winds up the curtain itself.

    摘要: Actuator for the release of automatic emergency brakes of hand-operated, powered tools, such as chain saws, having a driving shaft for the tool. Such emergency brakes are constituted of a brake mechanism released by means of stored energy. The actuator is constituted of a rotatable and balanced body with a small amount of friction on a shaft situated essentially parallel to the driving shaft. The actuator is fabricated of a permeable material, and has a mass having an essential inertia against rotation on the shaft. The actuator cooperates firstly with a magnet retaining the actuator with a predetermined magnetic force against rotation in an angular position of the actuator, and then with a sensor which is so arranged that an impulse for releasing the brake mechanism is given as soon as the actuator comes out of said angular position.

The system further includes load limiting means having a control dial with a numerical readout which when set to a selected number causes an overload detection means to be activated when the load on the member exceeds the number of tons set on said dial. Means are provided for permitting the indicator to register the maximum load the member sustains during an overload stroke and to hold that reading indefinitely.

    摘要: A web break detector system employs web detectors arranged in groups spaced along the path of a moving web and spanning its width. Each detector which senses web for a predetermined time becomes active and an active detector in any detector group turns on a panel light associated with that group. When a detector no longer senses web because of a break or undue slack in the web, the detector generates a signal which causes the system to stop the process being monitored, indicate at which location in the path the break first occurred, indicate other locations in the path at which subsequent breaks occurred and activate web severing devices to sever the web at selected locations depending upon where the breaks occurred.
