摘要： A hydraulic actuating device has a gas generating means having a first piston slidable in a fluid tight relation therein, a given amount of self-combustible material charged in a chamber adjacent to the piston on one side thereof and an igniting means for said material; an ignition signal transmitting means to transmit an igniting signal to said igniting means; an actuating cylinder communicating with another chamber on the other side of said piston in said gas generating means and having a second piston slidable therein, with a liquid being filled between one side of said second piston and said other side of said first piston in said gas generating means; wherein said igniting means may be actuated by said signal transmitting means to ignite said selfcombustible material for applying gas pressure produced thereby to said first piston on said one side thereof, thus producing liquid pressure on said other side of the first piston which is transmitted to the actuating cylinder to actuate the second piston.

摘要： The invention relates to a hydraulically operated disk type vehicle wheel brake unit. The improvement comprises the provision of a high viscosity liquid damper provided on tie bolts extending between the legs of a caliper movable relative to the rotatable brake disk as well as a stationary support member for the caliper and fixedly attached to the chassis of the vehicle, for suppressing disadvantageous vibration of the caliper appearing during the braking or the like period, while effectively allowing the relatively slow sliding movement of the caliper necessary for performing the braking function.

摘要： In a vehicle wheel disc brake unit, there is provided an atmospheric pressure chamber in the closed end of a hollow hydraulic piston adapted for actuation of one of both friction pads for the disc, and in front of a gap adjusting nut mounted threadedly on an adjusting bolt. This nut establishes normally a small predetermined length of axial idle gap formed between the nut and a correspondingly shaped portion on the inside wall surface of the piston. These normally gap-forming portions on the nut and piston constitute in combination a kind of a cone clutch.

摘要： A hydraulic pressure generating apparatus for use in an emergency, comprising: a body of a substantially cylindrical shape; a first end plug secured in a fluid tight fashion in the hollow portion of said body at its one end in a manner to close said hollow portion, having an end portion, which is coupled with an external fluid piping, on its outer surface and having a through-hole extending along the center line thereof; a second end plug secured in a fluid tight fashion in said hollow portion of said body at the other end thereof in a manner to close said hollow portion, said hollow portion containing therein flammable material consisting of instantaneously self-combustible material and including an igniting means positioned therein but adjacent to said self-combustible material; and a free piston fitted in said hollow portion slidably and in a fluid tight fashion between both said end plugs to thereby define a gas chamber and a fluid chamber on opposite sides of said piston.
