摘要: In a mobile system for pipe rehabilitation, a tractor moves a motorized electrical cutter inside a pipe. The cutter is used to remove a blockage from a branch conduit connected to the main pipe. A power management system powers the mobile system, including the cutter, from a direct current power source with an input current having a voltage less than 60V. The power management system powers the electrical cutter by discharging current from the supercapacitor module to the cutter. Power to other components is provided without discharge from the supercapacitor module and is not interrupted by supercapacitor discharge to the cutter. The power management system can include a housing for the supercapacitor module with a first connector at one end for connecting to an umbilical cord and a second connector an opposite end for connecting to the tractor.

摘要: A pipe loosening device and methods are shown. In one example, the pipe loosening device enables a method wherein a pipe to be replaced is deformed but not burst, and a portion of a sidewall of the pipe is forced outward into the surrounding soil to compact a local region of the surrounding soil and loosen the existing pipe. The pipe may then pulled from the ground along an axis of the pipe.

摘要: A propulsion system is provided for advancing a cable of a sewer cleaning and/or sewer inspection system, comprising a propulsion device, a measuring device for measuring the advancement of the cable, and an evaluation device. The propulsion device and the measuring device are adapted to provide a first and a second measured value of the advancement of the cable independently of one another, and the evaluation device is adapted to form a difference between the first measured value and the second measured value. A control device may be provided which adjusts the advancement based on the determined difference. A correspondingly designed method is also provided.

摘要: The disclosure includes systems and devices for collaborative moving of a push-cable. Such systems and devices include cable-storage drum devices used to store and dispense/retract a push-cable, generally via motors or like machine-driven force, and cable-storage drum devices used to direct and impart machine-driven force in moving the push-cable as well as push-cable moving systems employing a cable-storage drum device and a cable-storage drum device. The cable-storage drum devices and cable-handling devices as well as systems of the present invention may be communicatively linked in generating corresponding movements of the push-cable. The disclosure further includes methods associated with such push-cable moving systems and a cleaning element apparatus that may be used in a cable-storage drum device, push-cable handling device, or both in cleaning a push-cable prior to retraction.

摘要: A system for use in maintaining a pipe having a sidewall is provided. The system includes a motorized apparatus sized to fit within the pipe and configured to travel along the pipe through an interior cavity. The motorized apparatus includes a plurality of leg assemblies coupled circumferentially around a body assembly. The body assembly includes an actuator assembly coupled to each leg assembly and configured to independently actuate each leg assembly to adjust a position of each leg assembly. The body assembly also includes at least one sensor configured to collect information associated with the position of each leg assembly. The body assembly also includes a controller communicatively coupled to the motorized apparatus and configured to receive the information from the sensor, and to determine at least one of a pipe diameter and a pitch of the motorized apparatus based on the information from the at least one sensor.

摘要: Cable handling devices, methods, and systems for securing and deploying or retracting one or more cables or hoses into or out of a pipe or cavity allowing inspection of the pipe or cavity. In an exemplary embodiment, a hand-held device with a housing for at least partially enclosing one or more cables or hoses, at least one coupling mechanism integrally attached to the housing, and a coupling control for coupling and decoupling the one or more cables or hoses is provided. The cable handling device and the one or more cables or hoses can be coupled and moved together, or decoupled enabling the cable handling device and the one or more cables or hoses to move independently of each other. One or more of the cables may be connected to a camera for facilitating inspection of a pipe or cavity.
