Abstract:
A unitary removable barrier for installation in a cylindrical water line to selectively block the water line to passage of water therethrough. The unitary removable barrier is composed of a single piece body having at least one cylindrical section sized to receive upstream and downstream pipes of the water line. A planar disk is molded with the cylindrical section and is of a circular circumference which completely blocks the water line but which is selectively removable from the cylindrical section thus removing the barrier to the passage of water through the line. Removal of the barrier is facilitated through the use of a piercing device and pull tab which can be actuated from a position outside of the waste line.
Abstract:
A cell according to the present invention comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode, an electrolyte solution, and an outer casing, wherein the outer casing comprises a valve plate 30 having a thickness, an annular-shaped break groove 4 formed on the valve plate, and one or more of break aiding grooves 1 in the inner area of the break groove, and wherein the break aiding groove comprises such configurations that remaining thickness of the valve plate at the break aiding groove is thicker than remaining thickness of the valve plate at the break groove, and at least one end of the break aiding groove is connected with the break groove. In a cell provided with a valve plate which is a safety valve 9 comprising the break groove and the break aiding groove, the safety valve operates smoothly and releases a gas inside the cell quickly, and resistance to dropping impact is improved.
Abstract:
In an electric actuator having inner component parts thereof inclusive of a motor 1 covered with a cover main body 10, the cover main body 10 having a coating (protection) function serves as a manually operating part and is equipped with a mechanism for switching between electrical and manual operations. A fixing structure for connecting and fixing an electric actuator 40 and a rotary valve 23 includes an annular one-way clutch structure 25 at one of opposite fixing positions, and includes an annular face part 6 disposed at the other of the opposite fixing positions. The annular face part 6 is inserted into the one-way clutch structure 25, thereby restraining the actuator and valve from being rotated in one circumferential direction.
Abstract:
A vent cap is provided for releasing gas from containers, while preventing spillage of the contents therein when the container is tipped from a vertical position. The vent cap has a ball bearing mounted in a ball bearing containment chamber on the top thereof which, when the container is in an upright vertical position, allows release of gases from the container but, when the container is tipped, allows a piston disposed within the vent cap to close off gas release ducts formed in the vent cap, thus effectively preventing spillage of the containers contents.
Abstract:
The microvalve comprises a mini-piston moving due to the thrust of gases given off by firing of a pyrotechnic charge and comprising an aperture designed to enable communication to be established between ends of microchannels of a microfluidic component. When the ends between which communication is to be established open out onto a face of a first planar substrate, the mini-piston is formed in a second planar substrate, adjoined to the first, and comprises a part that is mobile in translation or in rotation in the plane of the second substrate. If a transverse slot is arranged between the ends of the microchannels between which communication is to be established, the mini-piston comprises a rod designed to slide in the slot and the aperture is formed by a transverse orifice formed in the rod of the mini-piston.
Abstract:
A fluid system component is provided that includes first and second elements configured to be removably engaged with each other and defining a fluid passageway when engaged. The first element defines three grooves, each of which includes a terminal portion. Correspondingly, the second element includes three engagement members each of which is configured and arranged to be received in, and travel along, a corresponding groove. The presence of a predetermined line pressure in the fluid passageway forces each engagement member into the terminal portion of the corresponding groove, so as to substantially foreclose disengagement of the first and second elements until the fluid pressure in the fluid passageway has reached a predetermined magnitude.
Abstract:
An improved rupture disk assembly and methods and apparatuses for forming a rupture disk are disclosed. The rupture disk assembly includes a rupture disk having a flange connected to a dome-shaped rupturable portion by a transition area. The rupturable portion includes a structural apex formation at or near the apex of the dome and is configured to rupture when exposed to a fluid having a predetermined pressure. Preferably, a safety member is disposed adjacent the rupture disk. The safety member includes a hinge about which the disk bends when the disk ruptures. The present invention is also directed to an apparatus and method for consistently, accurately, and repeatably forming a structural apex formation in a rupture disk before the formation of the rupture disk dome, during the formation of the rupture disk dome, and after the formation of the rupture disk dome.
Abstract:
A valve configuration of an air pressure steel jar of a paint ball gun, more specifically, a valve configuration comprises a manual wheel disposed at the bottom end of the air pressure steel jar; the said manual wheel directly links a valve needle to work a valve seat axially disposed inside the steel jar; the said valve seat, via a conduct hole, directly conducts the gas pressure therein to the bore of the paint ball gun for application; a fuse manner of using a forced band fuse is disposed at the rear lateral end of the said manual wheel, relative to the valve needle, for the steel jar to obtain safe guarantee of pressure load.
Abstract:
This valve actuator is formed by a pair of pistons in a sleeve valve body fluid pressure or vacuum moved away from each other for angularly rotating a shaft, transversely journaled by the body, in a predetermined direction and opening or closing a fluid control valve to protect a fluid system.
Abstract:
A pressure valve device for a gas pressure cartridge has a pressure valve, a container connected to the pressure valve and a moving mean for moving the cartridge in the container. The pressure valve has an exhaust port and a gas inlet connected to an opening of the container. Because the opening of the container corresponds to a gas opening of the small gas cartridge, the gas of the small gas cartridge inputs into the pressure valve via the gas inlet, and then the exhaust port outputs a fixed gas pressure into the compressed air gun. A clip is formed on the pressure valve whereby users can easily carry the pressure valve device on a belt or similar.
