    摘要: An automatic disconnect coupling includes a retainer and a biasing member. The biasing member is coupled to the retainer and is arranged to communicate excitation from a generator input member to the retainer. The retainer and the biasing member have a fundamental frequency tuned to the rotational speed of the generator input member to automatically disconnect the input member from a drive member when rotating unbalance of the input member exceeds a predetermined level.

    摘要: A connector system having first and second connector segments held together by a rod threadably received in an internal axial bore through each of the first and second connector segments. Each connector segment has a breakaway portion formed from an angled face on one connector segment that cooperates with the mating angled face on the abutting connector segment to form a V-shaped breakpoint between the two connector segments. An intermediate segment can be positioned there between to provide two breakpoints, and multiple intermediate segments can be used for additional breakpoints. Upon impact, the system breaks at the breakpoint and only the rod needs to be in most cases. A longitudinal bore through the rod permits adaption of the rod to selected loads.

    摘要: A fastening device for detachably fastening an automotive airbag component. The fastening device has a holding device (10), a connecting element (20) extending from a first end (21a) to a second end (22a), which, is normally connected to a fastening section of the holding device (10), and a pyrotechnic charge, which, on ignition, causes an end (22a) of the connecting element (20) to be detached from the fastening section. The holding device (10) has a bearing through which the connecting element (20) extends with a section spaced from the first end (21a). This bearing has at least two bearing surfaces (16a, 18a) separated differently from the fastening section and arranged on different sides of the connecting element, so that the separated section of the connecting element (20) can tilt in the bearing after the ignition of the pyrotechnic charge.

    摘要: An overload protection device in combination with a prime mover and gearbox transmission supplies torque through a gearbox transmission to a load. An input shaft with is driven by the prime mover and rotates therewith. An external spline on the input shaft mates with an input gear having an internal spline. Upon overload of the gearbox transmission, the input shaft fractures an annular groove in the input shaft. A bushing prevents travel of the portion of the input shaft which is driven by the prime mover and which continues to spin after the fracture.

    摘要: In a coupling structure for coupling a middle shaft that may function as a first rotary member to an input shaft that may function as a second rotary member such that torque is transmittable therebetween, a snap ring is engaged with both a first engagement groove of a cylindrical member and a second engagement groove of a shaft portion to restrict axial movement of the input shaft relative to the middle shaft. The first and second engagement grooves are formed such that the snap ring is disengaged from the first engagement groove when a load higher than or equal to a predetermined load is applied to the middle shaft and the input shaft in the separating direction. There is provided a separation nut that is fitted to a threaded portion formed on the shaft portion and that rotates and moves toward middle shaft to push the middle shaft.
