The output-side engaged portion is configured by a recessed portion, and the interior surface of the recessed portion has a pair of guided surfaces.     摘要: Electric parking brake devices are configured such that a parking lever is driven by an electric actuator. The electric actuator is provided with: an electric motor drivable in a forward/reverse direction and operationally controlled by a motor control unit according to rotational loads; a conversion mechanism capable of converting a rotational motion into a linear motion, moving the parking lever from a return position toward an operating position through forward rotation of the electric motor, and moving the parking lever from the operating position toward the return position through the reverse rotation of the electric motor; and a load applying mechanism (a stopper and a disc spring assembly) for applying a predetermined rotational load to the electric motor by driving a constituent member of the conversion mechanism after the parking lever is moved from the operating position to the return position through the reverse rotation of the electric motor.

    摘要: An internal shoe-drum type brake has a pair of shoes separable by an actuator into braking engagement with a brake drum. An automatic adjuster includes a two-part strut extending between the shoes, the first strut part being pivotally mounted on the second strut part and cooperating with the latter via teeth on the second part, such that the first strut part is separated from the teeth when excessive shoe separation occurs upon brake actuation and is moved angularly to a new position of adjustment upon brake release. The first strut part is provided with a number of peripheral projections engagable by an external tool to disengage the first part from the teeth of the second part when it is desired to de-adjust the adjuster in order to facilitate drum removal.

    摘要: The present invention involves an improvement in a conventional drum brake assembly which utilizes a pair of brake shoes separated by an adjustable strut. A parking brake lever is pivotally attached to one of the brake shoes and when it is rotated in a braking direction, causes both brake shoes to expand by interacting with the adjustable strut. A plate spring attached to a backing plate allows the parking brake lever to pass in the braking direction after assembly of the drum brake, thereby removing slack and properly adjusting the drum brake. The plate spring can be displaced from outside the drum brake to allow the parking brake lever to pass in the opposite direction for disassembly of the drum brake.

    摘要: A parking brake assembly comprising a pair of brake shoes pivotally mounted on a backing plate, a brake operating lever pivoted to the brake shoe and operable by a remote cable for pivoting the brake shoes against a brake drum, and a coil spring provided under compression between the brake lever and the backing plate. During shipment of the parking brake assembly, it is attached to an axle and the coil spring has an end that extends to an opening in the back plate. The cable including a conduit and an inner member, preferably a flexible strand, is handled separately. After the parking brake assembly is attached to an automotive vehicle, the cable can be connected even though the brake drum is in place and prevents seeing the interior of the brake assembly. Specifically, the strand is then forced through the conduit and the coil. The brake lever includes a bracket defining a ramp that guides an enlargement on the end of the strand until the enlargement extends beyond the band and then snaps laterally behind the bracket to provide engagement between the strand and the bracket and in turn the brake lever. The conduit of the cable which surrounds the strand is then connected to the backing plate by a connector on the conduit.
