摘要: A transportation vehicle may be equipped with electrical energy harvesting systems to harvest electrical energy for use. By way of example, the transportation vehicle includes a Venturi system and a plurality of energy harvesting systems. The Venturi system is configured to receive and accelerate the speed of an incoming air flow and based on the incoming air flow, each of the energy harvesting systems is configured to receive the accelerated incoming air flow and to generate electrical energy from the accelerated incoming air flow. The generated electrical energy is stored into onboard batteries in the transportation vehicle.

摘要: A rotor assembly may be used in a gas turbine. The rotor assembly includes rotor segments arranged in succession in an axial direction and interconnected in the axial direction by a tie-rod, and a rotor segment disposed forwardly in the axial direction having a first contact surface and a rotor segment disposed rearwardly in the axial direction having a second contact surface. The first and second contact surfaces are at least partially in contact with each other, are substantially annular in shape, and extend in a radial direction and in a circumferential direction. The first contact surface and/or the second contact surface extend at least partially obliquely relative to the radial direction. An angle is formed between the first contact surface and the second contact surface when viewed in a sectional plane defined by the axial direction and the radial direction.

摘要: A transportation vehicle may be equipped with electrical energy harvesting systems to harvest electrical energy for use. By way of example, in the transportation vehicle, a Venturi system may be used to receive an air flow and the speed of the air flow increase in a constricted area of the Venturi system, the air flow containing a large amount of kinetic energy. A plurality of electrical energy harvesting systems is disposed in the Venturi system and is configured to convert the kinetic energy contained in the accelerated air flow into electrical energy that can be used to power on-board electronics as well as one or more on-board batteries in the transportation vehicle, as the transportation vehicle is in motion.

摘要: Provided is a fluid flow energy harvester (10) comprising a crankshaft (12) and at least one vane (14) pivoted into a sail portion (18) and a crank portion (20) on respective sides of the pivot (16). Both portions (18) and (20) are operatively oscillatable about the pivot (16) when the crank portion (20) is operatively arranged facing into a fluid flow (22). The crank portion (20) is linked to the crankshaft (12) via a crank (24) so that operative oscillation of the vane (14) imparts rotational force to said crankshaft (12). The harvester (10) also includes a fin arrangement (26) which comprises a fin (28) arranged on, and configured to guide, the sail portion (18) of the vane (14) facing towards or in a direction of the fluid flow (22). The harvester (10) also includes a fin actuator (30) configured to control an orientation of the fin (28) relative to the sail portion (18), so that during oscillation of the sail portion (18), either a surface (32) of the sail portion or a surface of the fin (34) impedes the fluid flow (22) when a surface of the other is parallel to such fluid flow. In this manner, stalling of the vane oscillation is counteracted thereby facilitating continuous rotation of the crankshaft (12) during fluid flow (22).

摘要: A wind-powered machine system includes a base station including a fluid-powered machine for performing work and a crankshaft operatively coupled to the machine. The rotation of the crankshaft drives the machine to perform work. The system further includes a first and a second airfoil operatively coupled to the crankshaft and a system controller configured to selectively alter at least one of the altitude and in-flight orientation of the first and second airfoils. In a first stage, a wind-driven movement of the first airfoil in a first direction away from the base station causes the crankshaft to rotate. The rotation of the crankshaft causes a movement of the second airfoil in a second direction generally opposite to the first direction and toward the base station. In a second stage, a wind-driven movement of the second airfoil in the first direction away from the base station causes the crankshaft to rotate. The rotation of the crankshaft causes a movement of the first airfoil in the second direction toward the base station.

摘要: Wind turbine consisting of an anchoring to the ground or to a base and a mast, the natural oscillation frequency of which is purposely adjusted to the frequency of appearance of the air vortices or eddies produced after the collision of a laminar and stationary airflow against the surface thereof. The aeroelastic energy thus absorbed is converted into electrical energy due to the use of materials with high electromechanical coupling.

摘要: A reciprocating motion energy conversion apparatus is adapted to capture kinetic energy of wind, waves, or other reciprocating or turbulent motion in order to generate electricity. A rolling shaft rests on a shaft guide frame, with the rolling shaft being coupled to the input shaft of at least one electric generator. As the shaft guide frame tilts or rocks, the rolling shaft rolls on the shaft guide frame, turning the input shaft of the generator and producing electricity. In a Wave rocker embodiment, the shaft guide surface is secured within a buoyant, waterproof enclosure, which is placed in a body of water to convert energy from wave motions. In a Wind board embodiment, the shaft guide frame is suspended from two swing panels, which are put into swinging motion by turbulent winds, causing the rolling shaft to roll and turn the input shaft of each pair of electric generators.
