Abstract:
A flexible rod (20) is articulated at a first end to a control ring (30) and is fixed at a second end to a pivot of a blade (10) that is to be controlled. At this second end, it is held so that it can rotate without play on the blade pivot by a holding device (44; 52; 54). The articulation device comprise a pivot (24) passing through a first orifice (22) pierced in this first end and engaged in a radial housing (28) of the control ring, the pivot being held in position by a locking ring (34) which has openings (36) for the passage of this pivot and which slides on this control ring. The fixing device comprise a fixing screw (40) passing through a second orifice (38) pierced in the second end of the rod and introduced into a hole (42) of the pivot of the blade that is to be controlled.

The seal system includes a backbone and an attachment assembly. The attachment assembly frictionally engages the backbone to secure the attachment assembly to the backbone. The attachment assembly includes a plurality of clamp sub-assemblies and base sheet fabricated from a ceramic matrix composite material. The clamp sub-assemblies are clamped through openings extending through the base sheet, such that a predetermined amount of preload force is applied to the base sheet.
Abstract:
The guide-vane system serves to change the position of the guide vanes of an axial-flow exhaust-gas turbine of a turbocharger. The guide vanes are arranged axially symmetrically to the turbine axis in a flow passage carrying exhaust gas and can be pivoted by a pivoting device in each case about a radially directed axis. A vane shank led radially outward from the flow passage through a casing wall is attached to each of the guide vanes. With its part directed outward, the vane shank is mounted so as to be rotatable about the pivot axis. The pivoting device contains an adjusting ring, arranged outside the flow passage and rotatable about the turbine axis, and also an adjusting lever which transmits a torque from the adjusting ring to the vane shank of each guide vane. The adjusting ring is mounted with its outside on rolling elements which are each designed as one-armed levers and are mounted so as to be pivotable on a component of a casing wall, this component being designed as a supporting ring. This guide-vane system is characterized by high reliability even under heavy operating conditions.
Abstract:
A turbomachine stator flap including a structural beam which is formed integrally with a structural core for a vane, and fastening portions, and a composite envelope surrounding the structural core and forming at least the aerodynamic profile of the vane.
Abstract:
The invention provides a method and device of assembling and adjusting a variable capacity turbine, which simplifies assembling process resulting in reduction of man-hours and costs of assembling and adjustment, and makes it possible that the nozzle vane setting of the adjustable nozzle mechanism is done with high accuracy without influenced by the accuracy in dimensions of the constituent parts such as nozzle vane and annular link mechanism and that the adjustable nozzle vane mechanism is adjusted whenever necessary even after the turbine is assembled. The invention is characterized in that a plurality of nozzle vanes are temporarily encircled and bound with a binding member capable of binding/releasing such as belt, etc. in a state the vanes are perfectly closed with the vanes contacting to each other, then the nozzle pin fixed to each of the nozzle vanes and supported free of rotation in the nozzle mount is fixed by staking or the like to the lever plate constituting the connection part of the annular link mechanism with the vanes in the temporarily bound state.
Abstract:
The object of this invention is to propose a variable capacity turbine, requiring neither adjustment process of the full-opening position and the perfect closing position nor the dedicated full position stopper, in which the adjustment works for setting up the full-opening position of the nozzle vanes are not required, and the accidents of damaging the turbine wheel caused by the nozzle vanes which opened excessively can be avoided. It has a plurality of joint members of the same number as the nozzle vanes, which connect a plurality of nozzle shafts for nozzle vanes and the nozzle driving member, and which rotate the nozzle shafts with a swing motion forced by the nozzle driving member. The nozzle angle regulator is provided with two full-opening stopper surfaces provided on at least two neighboring joint members to move the nozzle vanes towards the opening direction and stop the nozzle vanes at the full-opening position by contacting the two neighboring joint members to each other. The nozzle angle regulator is also provided with a closing stopper surface provided on the joint member and the nozzle mount respectively, the closing stopper surfaces contact each other at the minimum opening angle position of the nozzle vanes, in which the nozzle vanes stop at the minimum opening angle position.

Abstract:
An exhaust gas turbocharger for an internal-combustion engine has a turbine wheel which is arranged in a housing of the exhaust gas turbocharger and to which exhaust gas can be fed by way of a flow duct constructed in the housing. A variable baffle is provided for adjusting the flow cross-section of the flow duct. In order to equip the exhaust gas turbocharger with a braking function at low manufacturing and mounting expenditures, the baffle is movably accommodated in a matrix which is detachably held on the housing. The baffle and the matrix form an exchangeable braking module.
