Abstract: A ladder, system, and methods are disclosed. The ladder is used on a steep-pitched roof and has a first section with rungs, a second section connected to the first section, a third section connected to the second section, and a paw pivotally connected to the third section. The third section has a length less than or equal to a length of the second section, and the third section also has a length less than a distance between a first rung of the rungs and an end of the first section. The ladder can be used in a system that utilizes the ladder and a roof-anchor apparatus, where the roof-anchor apparatus has two portions and two shoes interconnected to the portions. A method includes positioning the ladder and then positioning the roof-anchor apparatus, on and over a steep-pitched roof, respectively.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a ladder assembly consisting of a plurality of ladder segments each comprising a pair of identical rails, a third rail disposed medially between the parallel rails but not in the same plane, a plurality of rungs forming steps perpendicularly positioned and attached to the parallel rails but each diverted medially to attach to the third rail, and a plurality of joints sized to join each segment end-on-end to form the assembly, but with the proviso that in any ladder assembly having at least three segments, one of the third rails in the assembly is shorter than the other rails.

Abstract: A climbing stick apparatus includes a plurality of stick members, each of which includes a fastener reception portion at each stick member end and a plurality of foot-support-reception channels. A plurality of member-to-member couplers and fasteners are provided for erecting a plurality of stick members in a longitudinal arrangement. A plurality of foot support members are received in the foot-support-reception channels. The climbing stick apparatus of the invention permits rapid assembly of a climbing stick next to a tree for hunters and other outdoorsmen. When erected next to a tree the climbing stick apparatus permits the hunter to remain above ground level so that he is not noticed or smelled by game on the ft floor.

Abstract: A portable ladder module is provided, comprising a primary support member having a first step; a secondary support member having a second step, wherein the secondary support member is slidable relative to the primary support member. A lock is operatively disposed between the primary support member and the secondary support member for selectively locking the position of the secondary support member relative to the primary support member in an extended position and a retracted position. Preferably, a third step is provided on either the primary or the secondary support member, depending upon the nature of the sliding relationship between the primary and secondary support members. Abstract: A portable, hunter's ladder, useful in climbing trees comprising a pair of tubular rails radiused at each end forming a generally "C-shaped" configuration with their ends turned at oblique angles towards each other. A plurality of rungs, spaced along the rail's length, hold the rails in a substantially parallel relationship and are spaced at regular intervals except for the uppermost rung which is placed adjacent the upper, rail radius leaving an unequal spacing between the upper two rungs. Thus providing the climber with a better footing advantage when traversing around a tree to avoid limbs or when transferring to another ladder or tree stand.
