摘要： A mobile tower for transportation to and rapid deployment at remote sites where the mobile tower can be engaged with the ground, the mobile tower including an extendable and retractable tower secured to a mobile support structure including a frame having a plurality of rapidly deployable outriggers, wherein the tower includes three series of pivotally interconnected tower sections or segments, sections or segments of which engage with segments of each of the other series when the tower is assembled; the mobile tower including a plurality of guy wires secured between the extendable and retractable tower and the respective outriggers to stabilize the tower after the tower is assembled. The guy wires are preferably secured to the extendable and retractable tower at first and second connecting positions that are displaced from one another about an outer perimeter. Methods of deploying the mobile tower are also disclosed.

Each of such supports is substantially “V” shaped, the vertex of which is associated with the ground and a lower support cable is associated with one of the wings of the V and an upper support cable is associated with the other.

摘要： A tensegrity offshore wind power generation support structure is provided, relating to the technical field of offshore wind power. The support structure includes inclined columns, prestressed cables, a rigid support, a floating foundation and anchoring systems. A stable self-balancing space supporting structure is formed by the inclined columns and the cables; the inclined columns inclines outwards, upper parts of the inclined columns are connected with the prestressed cables; the bottom ends of the inclined columns are connected with the floating foundation; the middle parts of the inclined columns are connected with the rigid support; and the floating foundation is fixed with a seabed through the anchoring systems. According to the support structure, a tower in the traditional design is not needed, and all the cables are ensured to be in a tension state through the support of the inclined columns.

摘要： A modular pipe brace assembly is provided for supporting a concrete wall panel, where the modular pipe brace assembly has a plurality of brace sections that each have a pipe with one of at least two standard lengths and a connection plate attached to each end of the pipe. At least two of the plurality of brace sections are attached together in longitudinal alignment by engaging the connection plates to define a pipe assembly with a desired length. An adjustable shoe assembly is attached to each end of the pipe assembly and is configured to engage a ground anchor or a concrete wall panel. The plurality of brace sections may, for example, include a low-load brace section that has a low-load capacity pipe and a high-load brace section that has a high-load capacity pipe.

摘要： A beach umbrella anchoring system including an anchor member container, in the form of a cylindrical beach umbrella carrying bag, for containing a weighting medium, such as sand or water, and a connector for connecting the container to a beach umbrella restraining device; and a beach umbrella restraining device comprising a flexible cable member, a releasable connector fixed to one end of the cable for releasably connecting the cable to a beach umbrella, a second releasable connector, fixed to the other end of the cable, for releasably connecting the cable member to the anchor member, and a third releasable connector, attached to the anchor member for releasably attaching to the ground. The anchoring system may be supplied in the form of a kit comprising the anchoring member (beach bag), umbrella and the restraining device. The apparatuses and systems serve to anchor beach umbrellas and canopies against being overturned and flailing about in sudden or unexpected gusts of wind.
